I have bought many pairs of Southpole jeans (over 10). Roughly 25% of them had a major defect:

1. One pair had the button missing. The backend of the button was in place with a little nub of metal sticking out, which is what the button would have been attached too had it been there.
2. On another pair the zipper was only attached on one end. I tried bending the zipper gap outward and then hoped to run the teeth through and bend it back into place, thereby locking the zipper into normal position but I failed.
3. Another pair had a smooth cut going across the upper calf section of the jeans.
4. Pocket size - This covers not just this style/color but the others also. I have multiple pairs of the same jeans/same sytrle/color/everything and I have noticed that pocket size varies greatly. I dont mean between systems. I've ordered two of the same exact type and size and the pocket in one pair is 50-66% smaller. I'm lazy, I don't send things back. I cant say if they would have sent me a new pair but I'mn sure they would if I asked.

The pros:

1. Very very inexpensive
2. Very comfortable
3. Stylish, considering .
the price. Must better than a pair of Levis, which cost twice as

I owned a pair of these jeans and wore them out. One of the things I noticed was how the waist was smaller than it should have been. I ordered these pair of jeans last week. Tried them on and sure enough, the waist seemed more like a 28-29 then 30. Had to suck it in to buckle. The jeans fit great everywhere else.

HERE IS THE ISSUE: I washed the jeans which isn't uncommon and after one wash they shrunk all over. The length is significantly shorter and the waist is now even smaller. After having them for a week I can no longer wear them. If I were to do it again, I would have ordered a size 32 waist and 30 length. That would have been do baggy though even after washing them so unfortunately, the 30 waist and 30 length is smaller than it's supposed to be.

Great jeans, well made but shrink like crazy and the waist does not appear to be a true '30' width. I wish i could get my money back or have them send a 32 instead.

I ordered a 30 waist for my son. He usually wears 30 or 31 waist in most brands so I did not think it would make a big difference rounding down to 30. I was wrong! The waist fit so snug that my son would not wear them at all. Most 30 or 31s he gets he has to tug up throughout the day and not feel so constricted that he would not wear. Also, the color was not what we thought it was. It calls it "dark sandblast blue", but the photo made it look almost black. It was most definitey blue...like regular denim blue. My son was disappointed with the color as well. We returned these jeans. That process was wonderful and painless at least!

Although the look of these jeans isn't too bad, I noticed that the waist shrinks to a smaller size in the wash than other Southpole 34X32 jeans I've purchased, and the legs are longer than other Southpole 34X32 I've purchased as well, so it looks like these will need to be hemmed. Due to the fact that the waist shrinks in the wash and the fact that the legs are longer, this makes the jeans an odd combination between loose and skinny, which I don't exactly care for.

I'm a pretty skinny and slightly tall guy. Normal jean size is 32x34 and that's what size I got in these. I bought these as I hate skinny jeans and ones that cling to me. These are marked as "Relaxed Fit". They are just as tight as "Regular Fit", they hug my nuts and are somewhat tight around my thigh area. I would say if you are looking for "relaxed fit, slightly baggy" order these about +2 inches on the waist and +1 inch on the inseam to achieve that look/feel. As for me, I also purchased some Wrangler relaxed fit jeans that have an actual relaxed fit, and now I'm buying more.
