I LOVE this jacket! .. i'm nearly 6ft and am slim build about 11 to 11 and a half stone .. i chose large, and was a bit apprehensive as my current lee cooper leather (same colour ) is medium .. but after reading loads of reviews from different companies, and also taking into account a shirt etc underneath, i went for large and it fits excellently .. the cut is spot on, .. although the tag said 'dr who ' style instead of 'u boat' .. so maybe doctor who wears a u boat coat lol! ( gets more surreal all the time!) fantastic styling it feels 'german' .. total quality , quite stiff and heavy but i know it'll loosen up .. i chose brown as my skin complexion is fair, and black never quite looks right on me. goes extremely well with my junkers watch haha! .. you will not be disappointed with this ..a lot of leathers are so thin and flimsy .. this has 2 inside pockets (one buttoned and 1 not) for quick access and security . i really am sooooo pleased . if this was in a leather shop i would buy at twice this price. ian

Coat arrived today and I am thoroughly pleased with it.

Some of the reviews on both this one and the black version talk about ordering a larger size than you normally would so I took the precaution of contacting the seller directly to give my measurements. Normally I would order XL and this was the size they advised me to order. I am 9'10", 42 inch chest, 36" waist but I have very large upper arms and this is nearly always an issue for me when buying clothes but this coat fits absolutely perfectly - even the sleeves are the right length and there is room under the coat to wear a sweatshirt or jumper.

Like many reviewers have commented previously this is an exceptional jacket for the price, the workmanship and stitching is excellent and the leather is of excellent quality. I have owned many leather jackets and I can tell that this coat is made to last a lifetime.

Now, wheres that bloody convoy!

I have to say that this seller , boutique England , is very easy to deal with , i sent back a jacket that i purchased a month ago , i have removed the label from the sleeve , and even so , they were eager to exchange the jacket with the U-BOAT , no extra charge , arrived in Greece in 2 days ........the U- Boat jacket , is an excellent jacket , looks way - way more expensive , excellent leather quality , and thick enough to wear it in North seas , in a submarine !! i am 43.5 '' chest , 5'10'' height , i chose the 2XL , which is roomy enough , i usually choose XL , but i propose you to go one size up , in orde to wear a sweater underneath , which i doubt you will need , because of the thickness of the jacket .......... this not a bikers jacket , it is a fashion jacket , it does not resembles to any jacket , very unique ............ the colour is a click darker than pictured , anyway excellent colour ......for me , it is a must for every man' s wardrobe , very manly jacket ............... the slleeves are a bit lenghty , but it is easy to shorten them , there is no zip ..........do yourself a favour , and byu it , you will not regret it ..............i give this jacket 6-7 stars !!!

Leather UBoat coat:
I took the L size, being more of a M (176cm & 70Kg) but I read from previous buyers that the sizes come tide. Well, be cautious. The L ends up being a bit loose. I probably should have gone for M. This type of coat has to be slightly lean / tight. Finally I don't want the hassle of having it replaced.
The coat weights 1.9Kg. It is heavy by today's standards but half the weight of the original stuff.
The sleeves are ridiculously too long. Be prepared for a tailor ajustment.
The color is dark brown, almost black.
The seams are well done and the leather is good quality (I'm no expert though).
Two mistakes with the buttons. (1) the upper button for closing the collar in case of strong wind /coldness was missing. Had to sew the spare button. (2) one of the buttons in the middle is sewed through the upper (hand warmer) pocket, making it unpractical to use.
Overall, a good looking, good coat for the price. 5 stars no doubt. Cheers.

Bought for hubby for xmas gift. He loves it. It's heavy and looks rich. It does have broad shoulders which I imagine most men will love and if you have a stomach it probably isn't the one for you. That said if you're kind of tall and slim with long arms this is the real deal. It's a beautiful coat.
