Excellent bike jacket Recommended supplier Snug fit (buy 1size larger)

I decided to order this jacket after buying a pair of the Skintan trousers - the quality is once again first class. The jacket is very well made from decent leather and is a comfortable fit.
I particularly like the double zip, which is necessary in my case as although I ordered a size 48 and my chest measures 46 I found the jacket a very snug fit on the inner zip (possibly due to my waistline rather than chest size :-) but with a thin fleece I found the outer zip much more comfortable.
The jacket has excellent protection, and I certainly feel well protected whilst wearing it and the matching trousers.
As mentioned by another reviewer, the pockets are not particularly deep, but after all its designed as a motorcycle jacket not a casual or dress jacket, and I found it perfectly adequate for such things as my phone and keys etc.
I can certainly recommend the jacket, and the leather box delivered well in advance of the estimated delivery time, all in all I am very happy with my purchase, and the supplier! You won't be disappointed with this purchase

Nice light jacket, size was ok, apart from it was very short. They Got the arm length right but as soon as I sat on bike, it came half way up my back. To short !

My old leather has seen better days. It had in fact seen better days before I bought it around 4 years ago and I wore it on my bike and to the shops!! “Time for a new one” I thought. This is the one I chose and I’m very pleased with it. The leather and build of the jacket is brilliant. It is a nice fit. Pretty uncomfortable because it is new but I felt good on my first ride wearing it. I did 85miles without to much bother. I can’t wait until it has been worn in a bit because I reckon it’s going to be great. It has a bit of Velcro on the neck strap that I will either remove or try to make less jaggy. But that’s only because I don’t like to use those straps. It feels tight on my arms too but I removed the armoured pads and it was fine so I’m sure it’ll ‘break in’ a bit. I’ve now put the pads back in and added a temporary back protector. I will probably get the correct one for the jacket sometime.
Excellent service. I ordered this jacket on Wednesday late morning and it arrived on Friday mid morning. Can’t ask more than that!!
I look for gear that will last me years and years. I have no doubt whatsoever that this jacket will do just that. I hope I never find out what it’s like in a spill thought!!

Let's start with the jacket first. Sizewise it's exactly as described with the added benefit of a summer and winter zip option. Size 44" (im usually a 42" chest). Arm and back length are spot on. Pockets are well placed and usable. It will take an approximately 365mm (L) x 245mm (W) back protector. I'm currently using a Forcefield of the smallest size (L1 and L2 available. NB. L2 is the higher rated of the two). It is good value for money but not in the Dainese/Furygan league. You pays your money etc. Now the seller. Incredibly efficient and accommodating. These guys really are the epitome of customer service. I DO NOT SAY THIS LIGHTLY. My only recommendation is the fitment of two collar studs. Jacket 3 - 4 stars seller 5 plus stars.

As I had bought my husband the Skintan leather motorcycle triousers from The Leatherbox my husband was very keen to also have the Skintan Motorcycle jacket. Due to work commitments he hasn't been able to test the jacket out but is 'over the moon' with it. It fits like a dream. It has the two zips which helps should he be wearing anything bulky underneath. Such a high quality jacket too. Plus it comes c/w armour in the elbows and shoulders . Therefore he is also keen to buy more armour for the back. Although he tells me he has no intention of coming off! Such a superb leather jacket which will obviously soften up with use. I should add that normally my husband is a size 42 but he decided it would be wiser to buy a 46. Thank goodness we did because it fits perfectly.

Not the first time I've brought from Leatherbox and as usual the item arrived on time and well wrapped. The jacket is outstanding quality, you would think it cost much more. The jacket is well cut and with the two zip positions it allows for a jumper to be worn under it Although it's so warm, with it's lining I don't see the need. This item is for cold weather riding as the lining isn't removable, that for me, is the one draw back. Only other thing to consider is that it's quite tight around the waist. 42 chest is tight on me around the middle over my leather jeans, with belt. I'm a 34 waist but suppose you could use the 2nd zip position to allow a bit of room. Overall a fantastic jacket that looks like it'll last years, love it.

I wear jackets 44 for work just casual jackets from Marks & Spencer and ordered a 44 here and perfection...
So well made... Great zips.....and the pockets some moan about I cannot understand why... My wallet ....
Disc lock... Keys ....iPhone all fit in the four outside pockets with a deep inner pocket left unused....I can't believe this jacket is £100.... I would expect to pay at least £200 for such a well-made quality jacket .... Do not miss a bargain order now!

Lovely jacket well made really comfy but and it's a big but it only comes half way down my belly and sits near my belly button so if I ride half my back and stomach would be exposed so if you have a short torso or wear those dungaree things this would suit

The jacket is very high quality leather and offers great protection in the event of a tumble. Being another 6'0" tall, 54" chest 42" waist bike rider I read all the other reviews and decided to order the jacket. "Excellent service, prompt delivery, well packaged to protect the item. Item exactly as described, good quality heavyweight leather. One tiny niggle, if you make/sell a product built for big men (54" chest) it's safe to assume we are large all over, ie, big hands, the two vertical pocket zips are not long enough to allow my hands into the pocket, and that's a shame there are now 2 pockets I can't use. Apart from that an excellent leather jacket. I look forward to wearing it when riding my motorbike. "

I had dialog with the seller before ordering to do my best to get the correct size, and they were a perfect fit, very comfortable to wear and ride in, good heavyweight material can't fault them. However there is a niggle with this jacket which is why I have deducted a star, the cuffs are too big for modern motorcycle gloves, I am having to make alterations or buy new gloves, if I can find some to suit, to enable getting the glove cuff over the sleeve cuff.
