This is my first review in 20 years of shopping on Amazon. I purchased this Schott leather bomber jacket on 28/08/20. I paid £437.73 from Amazon & not a third party seller. I like Schott clothing, I have found it to be great value on Amazon & the quality has always been exceptional.

In regard to this particular jacket I purchased the XL size because I previously bought a "Schott NYC Men's Collar Leather Long Sleeve Jacket" in a large size & It was way too tight & I couldn't even raise my arms that much whilst wearing it, so I returned it. It's funny because all the other Schott coats/jackets I've previously purchased were a large size & fitted great, this is the same for Schott clothing.

The quality is superb. I'm 6' 1" tall & have a slim build, approximately 79KG. The jacket has decent room for me, particularly when wearing a T - shirt, so I could easily wear a decent sized jumper also, but to be honest I doubt I'd ever need to do so unless I was visiting Siberia or planning to get stuck in a walk in freezer.

The leather is lovely quality with a full woollen lining, the zip is of all metal construction. One thing to note is that there is NO internal pockets, only two external hand pockets. The weight of the jacket is reasonable & I've not found it too heavy for prolonged wear. There are multiple colour options with this item, I got the Brown (Cordovan 81).

It's a great jacket, highly recommended if you're planning on visiting Siberia or even if you're only planning on walking to the postbox on a cold day.

Good quality, fine leather especially at the sale price. I have choosen size XL (I'm 42R) but the jacket was a bit tight than I expected so it was a problem to wear heavy roll-neck under. Jacket's collar was too short or my chin was extremely outstanding so I was unable to buckle it. It suprised me because I have had the Schott Leather Peacoat in size 44R for some years and it was by contrast too roomy. I have solved inconveniences accompanied with this B3 jacket by the diet and loosing some lbs. So I think buying Schott Jacket you should try it on before

I’m a size large but went a size up as advised too in the listing , XL was a perfect fit,this jacket is well worth the money it is pricey yes but you are getting quality jacket,well made very warm and very stylish,jacket really does stand out!!

ATTENZIONE! Non è il vero Schott!

Attratto dal prezzo in sconto e avendo già molti altri giubbotti Schott (sono un appassionato) ho deciso di acquistarlo, ma non avevo letto con attenzione.

Nella descrizione dell’oggetto su Amazon viene precisato che il modello è l’ LC 1259, un modello di B3 Schott per il mercato europeo che non ha nulla a che vedere con quello americano che è il modello 257S (il vero Schott B3).

Seppure molto simile in foto al modello americano, questo Schott europeo LC 1259 differisce dal vero Schott 257S per la pelle molto più sottile, il pelo meno folto e le finiture molto più grossolane e in generale per una qualità molto più bassa del prodotto. Possiedo entrambi i modelli e li ho confrontati: questo modello europeo è inconsistente, molle, la pelle è di qualità più bassa, è molto più economico.

Inoltre pur cercando con grande attenzione non ho trovato alcuna indicazione sul luogo in cui è prodotto l’oggetto (nessuna precisazione sulle etichette), cosa che sinceramente non mi piace affatto. Informandomi meglio sul sito ufficiale della Schott, ad un utente che chiedeva informazioni sull’oggetto non sanno cosa rispondere in merito al luogo in cui è fabbricato. Non ci credete? Leggete voi stessi cosa risponde la Schott ad un utente che chiede quali sono le differenze tra il modello europeo e quello americano: copio la discussione dal sito della Schott:

And sizing on the 1259 is not numbered but rather S, M, L, XL and 2XL, which makes ordering a bit trickier than going by Schott's standard sizing. Our European distributors do offer an Imported B-3 jacket which is not produced or offered in the US. Because the jacket is an import they are able to offer it at a better price point. Since we do not offer the style in the US I really cannot compare the sheepskin,materials or the sizing compared to our 257S. In graded sizes the sizes are usually graded between 2 sizes such as our USA jackets a size Large would be a 42/44, but I am not sure what their graded sizes are compatible to. Our 257S is produced in actual chest sizes. I would advise you contact the seller for the information you are requesting. I do not know where the jackets are made as we do not order them for our European distributor. You can contact the distributor in France for more information on the jacket. You can locate his contact information on the "Contact" button at top of page, click onto "Store Locator" option then onto "International Distributors" option.

In sostanza non sanno nulla di questo modello europeo che non è venduto in USA, neppure dove sia prodotto o a quali taglie corrisponda. Incredibile ma è così: sconsiglio vivamente l’acquisto se state cercando il vero Schott B3 made in USA. Questo è un surrogato rinnegato dalla Schott USA stessa che sembra non saperne nulla.

Tanti scrivono che non è l’originale, forse dovrebbero dovumentarsi meglio, in quanto si tratta della versione europea riconoscibile con la sigla LC 1259 che di listino appunto costa circa 900e mentre il modello americano si contraddistingue per la sigla 257S e un costo di circa 1800e.
Quello che viene riconosciuto come un problema sulla versione europea, ovvero una pelle più morbida e un pelo con meno spessore in realtà per le nostre temperature è piu che adatto, anzi forse diventa caldo anche lui e sfruttabile un paio di mesi, figuriamoci la versione americana.
Vi consiglio vivamente l’acquisto, ovviamente se ne avete la possibilità visto che il prezzo non è sicuramente accessibile a tutti.

Achtung gut gefälschtes Produkt. Das echte Produkt von Schott hat eine glänzenden Reisverschluss. Die Nähte aussen sind glatt und auf dem Originalprodukt rauh. Auf der Rückenseite ist der Ettikettbereich viel zu groß. Alle Etiketten und auch die Stickerei weisst Fehler im Buchstaben S und o von Schott auf. Die Schnallen und der Verschluss sind viel zu kurz geraten. ( Mann könnte ersticken). Ausserdem hätte ich schon beim Preis hellhörig werden sollen, da der Orignalpreis der Jacke bei 1.700,00 Euros liegt. Aber ich dachte man macht ein Schnäppchen.

Die Jacke ist Top, habe die Version in Kupferrot / braun gekauft, der Amazon Preis ist unschlagbar bei ca. 450 Euro. Es ist keine Fälschung wie es in einer anderen Bewertung geschrieben wird. Die hier angebotene EU Version ist von Schott lizenziert und wird in Europa produziert.
Unbedingt mit Lederöl oder Lederbalsam imprägnieren, die Jacke wird dadurch etwas dunkler und die von Natur aus gegebenen kleinen Abreibungen (keine Fehler) verschwinden dadurch. Die Jacke sieht wirklich sehr edel aus. L passt bei mir 180 cm 87 kg sportlich mit breiteren Schultern, optimal. Lieferung erfolgte nach ca. 4 Wochen genau wie von Amazon angegeben. Echter Klassiker von dem man viele Jahre was hat.

Acheté en prévision de l'hiver... Rien qu'à l'essai en intérieur j'avais chaud... Et plus envie de le lâcher...
Niveau taille, j'ai un bomber de la même marque en taille S, trop petit (de peu....).
Donc, j'ai opté pour une taille M pour le bombardier... Impecc au niveau des longueurs et des épaules.
ATTENTION à la forme de la veste en bas, ça peut surprendre car contrairement aux Bombers ou autres vestes +/- près du corps, le bombardier est ample en bas... (D'où sa forme caractéristique, qui ne conviendrait pas à un utilisateur de 2 roues... À noter les sangles qui resserent quand même pas mal le bas ).
Petits soucis de finition, mais minimes (quelques poils qui dépassent, je suis tatillon...).
Aussi, veste assez lourde, et qui inspire au confort...
La fermeture au niveau du cou, par 2 sangles, remplace aisément une echarpe car remonte le col en dessous des oreilles...
Pour sûr que tous mes amis au dessus de 35 ans vont vouloir l'essayer !
Commandée à 1h du matin hier, expédiée dans la foulee, reçue ce matin à 9h...

Aufgrund des attraktiven Preises von 400 Euro hatte ich mir die Jacke bestellt. Sie befindet sich ja schon länger auf meinem Wunschzettel. Leider bin ich sehr enttäuscht über die Qualität. Das Fell war dünn und kratzig. Insgesamt wirkte die Verarbeitung wenig hochwertig. Bin von Schott bisher anderes gewohnt. Sehr schade. Die Jacke ging zurück. Vielleicht bestelle ich mal wieder eine und habe dann mehr Glück.
