The plot is satisfying. The story keeps a good pace. And for a time travel story it actually makes a lot of sense with a decent ending.
There is sufficient character development that the characters choices fit their character.
The cinematography is as good as a main stream film.

You have to forgive the slightly sub par acting by the two main father and son characters. But then the whole film does have a light hearted side to it, so by no means does it spoil the film.

The film is family friendly. No swearing or nudity etc.

I can only guess the people who gave low reviews didn't have the patience to let the plot develop.

Don't be put off by the start.
Well worth a watch.

COMPLETE WASTE OF £3.49 RENTAL COST

THIS IS ONE OF THE WORST MOVIES THAT I HAVE EVER SEEN.
I LOVE THE "TIME TRAVEL" MOVIE/BOOK GENRE. 10 YEAR OLD CHILDREN TO MAKE A BETTER MOVIE.
IT IS JUST AWFUL. THE SETTING, THE SCRIPT, THE ACTING, IS JUST AWFUL.
THE ONE AND ONLY SAVING ELEMENT OF THIS DISASTER, IS SAM GITTINS. HE IS THE ONLY CHARACTER IN THIS DEBACLE THAT IS WORTH WATCHING. HE IS A GOOD ACTOR, HE IS ENGAGING, AND YOU FEEL FOR HIM. WHY IS HE NOT IN BETTER MOVIES?? I WOULD LOVE TO SEE HIM IN SOMETHING WORTHY OF HIS ABILITIES.
THIS IS A STRAIGHT TO THE BIN ONE.

Pretty good but not amazing

set in a charming continental village. It has quite a lot going for it but it just isn't as good as you hope it will be. The story is intense, inward looking and a bit boring.

wooden acting, confusing

Glad that this was free on Prime and didn't spend any money on it.

Fairly predictable but lost interest half way through.

it seems to be a poor remake of the much superior 2007 Spanish film "Time Crimes".

Future to the Back

Actors, scenery and concept good. Dialogue was bad, too many long pauses. Unclear story, unbelievable story, confusing plot, utterly deflating ending.

Confusing plot line.

To be honest, it was a good movie, I’m not going to lie but the whole plot line didn’t make any sense towards the end and even then there was only little bits of the movie that I understand, overall it’s one of those movies that requires you to rewatch to get a basic understanding of it.
