Customer Review

Purchased these boots for moderate hiking in Northern Ireland and the UK. For relatively inexpensive boots, they were comfortable enough, though took longer than I'd like to break in.
Grip is good, and for mids, they offer pretty good support.
Biggest issue is that they weren't waterproof, even from the first hike. Went hiking in the Mournes and found my socks getting damp around the toes after only a few miles on a wet trail. I was wearing long trousers over the tops and my socks were dry down to the ankle, so it wasn't coming in from the top. Only damp, though, so didn't worrry too much. They dried out, tried a waterproofing treatment and a few months later went on a multi-day hiking trip in Scotland - less then an hour into trip (in light rain), my feet were absolutely soaked. Top of the boot was dry again, so it was coming through somewhere lower.
Boots are still in decent shape, but without being able to wear them in wet conditions, they're more or less useless in the UK. Spend the money and get decent boots if you're going out of your back garden.
