Customer Review

These shoes were reviewed by my husband - please see review below:
I was looking forward to getting these work trainers due to the recent heatwave in the UK.
When they arrived I was a keen to try them on. I noticed they were very lightweight and the upper section made of a breathable material. On having a closer look before trying on I saw that the entire upper section was made in one piece which I assumed would be good for waterproofing. The laces were held in place by rubber eyelets and did not pass through the shoe as with normal laces. There were toe protectors in the shoes and overall they looked quite stylish. The shoes appeared to be entirely synthetic which pleased me as I am a vegan. Putting the shoes on my feet was very difficult. This was because the access hole in the one-piece upper was too small for my foot. I am UK size 9 and my feet are fairly narrow (see pic). after a short battle the shoes eventually went on and felt comfortable. The laces needed tightening as they had only been threaded in by the manufacturer. I could see that I should not pull on the laces with much force and I was concerned the thin rubber eyelets holding the laces were not the strongest of materials to do the job. So I was extra careful tightening the laces I had not managed to get the laces even half tight when two eyelets, on the first shoe I tried, immediately split (see pic). This was very disappointing as I realised that it was not going to be possible to adjust these shoes for a proper snug fit. The material used to make the eyelets is far too flimsy to be of practical use with these shoes.
So overall, lightweight, stylish, probably waterproof, probably vegan, difficult to put on and weak material holding the laces, not cheap, disappointing.
I cannot recommend these shoes as, although they have their good points, at a cost of £36.90, there are better shoes out there for the money.
