Customer Review

Bought these to replace some old barefoot shoes (Vibram 5 fingers). I was after something a little more shoe-like, but still barefoot, something that was suited to trail running but could be general use as well and something that wasn't going to break the bank. the trail glove 5's have filled all these requirements out perfectly.

I've covered over 100 miles so far in them, they've held up totally fine, nothings coming apart and no real wear at all, they look like new almost (I kind of expected to have some by now but they're doing well). I've been using them in wet conditions (very wet like ran through some rivers /floods and mud) and I've used them in the dry. Been over fields, moors, rocky terrain, woodland, pavement and gravel with no real issues at all. I find they grip well generally in most conditions apart from really muddy conditions (which is to be expected). In wet weather they drain while you run, keeping your feet fairly comfortable and they tend to dry out quicker as there is less material.

I think initially I was worried about the arch that's mentioned a lot. At first, I could feel this a bit, but I'm not sure if my feet got used to them or they bedded in, but now they seem really comfy and I can run and run in them without complaint. I was also concerned about the size, I am a 9, and went for 9. they have a bit of room in them so I think I should have perhaps gone for 8.5 but again it hasn't caused any issues so I'm pretty happy so far.
