The first coat I ordered... all was fine then zip (cheap plastic) went faulty a week over the 12 month period warranty period

A replacement was agreed and sent out, however having returned the original coat immediately I just received a message 5 months later saying they are going to charge me £225 for a replacement and that I should return the original?

Is this a joke? what a disgraceful customer service / scam
