These were a bit of a panic purchase - I needed a pair of pink/beige trainers, and this was the best match I could find. I take an EU size 41, which is a UK7 in some brands, and a UK8 in others. Amazon’s size guide informed me that for a Rocket Dog, a 41 = 8, so I ordered an 8.

The colour is nice. It’s not a horrifically in your face pink, nor is it a girly baby pink which would look silly on me in my forties. It’s a dusty pink which works well with plenty of colours.

The fit is definitely large. More of a 7.5 to 8 than a 7. I would recommend ignoring the size guide if you’re on the smaller end of your shoe size. The width was fine for me, with my narrow feet, but the footbed could easily accommodate a more normal width foot, and the laces would allow for that.

Now we get to why I marked the shoe down. While the insoles have little puffy raised areas to provide extra cushioning, after a mile of walking with my dogs, the front of my feet were absolute agony. There is woefully inadequate cushioning. You know that feeling you get when your feet are on fire because the footbed is that hard? That’s how bad it felt. I will have to purchase extra insoles to put into these, so perhaps it’s a blessing for me that they’ve come up a bit big, and will be able to accommodate that.

Overall then - they look pretty, the colour is a really versatile shade, and the price is good but if you’re planning on walking in them, buy a size up and invest in some insoles. If you’re looking for comfort straight out of the box, I’d look elsewhere.
