In the early 1970s, instead of all-caps “LEVI’S”, it changed to a title-case “Levi’s” - with a lowercase “e.” The “E” font differentiation became a mark among collectors of a vintage piece. Its evolution made it more of a timestamp for collectors and fans of the brand worldwide.	Levi's Tab with no logo. In order to protect the company’s exclusive legal right to market clothes with the tab, Levi’s needs to produce a percentage of products with a plain tab and just the (R) symbol to show that Levi’s owns legal rights in the Tab itself, not just in Levi’s brand.	Levi’s Tab color variations. Different Levi's Tab's colors represented different lines of clothing, from corduroy flares to boot-cut jeans to a whole category of women’s wear. Levi's tabs can be found in black, blue, orange, red, silver and white.

2) Measure your inseam: measure your inseam length by placing one end of the measuring tape on the top of your inside leg and the other on the middle of your ankle. Tip: Take a pair of a pair of well-fitting jeans and place them on a flat surface to measure the inseam better.

Not genuine. Been wearing 501's for 25 years. These are made in Poland not the usual places. Poor shape, poor finish. Poor measurement. Do not recommend and I will not be buying them here again. Badge sewn in wrong place, holes not stitched properly + buttons too big for the holes. Leg too long. Stitching incomplete, oversized buttons.

These are NOT genuine Levis - the red tab on the back pocket does not have ' Levis ' printed on it. I bought these as a present and it was noticed straight away- waste of £57 of which I can ill afford!!!

I managed to get this pair at a very reasonable price versus shop bought. The fit was as expected if only because I have darker shade of the 501, so there were no surprises.

So far as colour versus picture, I'd say the Balboa is an accurate reflection in real life. I dock a star because there's a stone wash line down the rear lower leg, but it wasn't bad enough for me to return, considering the price.

Even though I hate button fly I keep coming back to Levi's. It just takes a while for the buttons to loosen up! If you get a good price, go for it!

Snapped these up at £34. But the question is, are these genuine 501’s.
Definitely not the heavyweight levis of the 70’s (thinking my old ‘shrink to fits’) but then, I think, all levis came from the USA, whilst now they are made in Turkey or China, or elsewhere, presumably under licence.
These appear to be of good quality, with inner labels aplenty, but one concern was the flap over the button fly seems to gape a bit, as if not machined flat (perhaps will flatten after ironing, after their first wash) though could be due to the more flimsy material, with the built in ‘stretch’. Those 70’s heavyweights definitely didn’t have an elastic stretch, but maybe even Levis jeans are allowed to evolve? Otherwise, the jeans fit me well, and are comfortable. Recommended, but with reservations about them being genuine.
My old Levis didn’t have a gaping fly flap!

Not sure about these. I've checked the various things online in order to assess provenance and everything seems genuine, though only some of the rivets are embossed on the back. But - essentially - they just seem too lightweight; don't look or feel like Levis. The denim just hasn't got the same feel as another pair I bought recently on the high street.

The jeans clearly state regular fit but they aren't! I own 5 pairs of 501s including these and all my other fit straid bit of room but nowhere near baggy but this pair is more loose fit so just watch out. Other than that great jeans as you would expect from Levi infact everything about Levi is there just whoever sized them was wrong

501,501 501? What does this mean ? I thought it was 510 inches (my correct waist size) ! These seem a little too small for me at the moment. I figured that I would have to loose a few hundred inches to fit into these, so that’s what I did ! I now squeeze into these “trousers” everyday at 11.23am to go to the corner store to buy locally made glue. Thanks to The factory I now find my self esteem replenished and I have become quite the exhibition isthmian! Thanks for making me feel like a man again 🙏

i bought these like everyone else because the price was good, said dispatched same day by royal mail but took 8 days to arrive , anyway i googled fake levis and everything seemed ok until today that is i have worn them twice and both pockets have holes in them which seems strange , i do have a levi store nearby but was to shy to go in and ask them to check , i have sewed the pockets bt if you do buy them make sure the pockets are ok , as some people like myself still use them.
