Yes, they are waterproof but I also sprayed mine with a waterproofing spray just to be sure.

There is a waterproof PU material around the shoes to prevent splashing and getting wet.

They are proper lace up - BUT the lace holes are made of thin rubbery plastic and wear out very quickly, the laces on my pair ripped through after 2 weeks of daily work wear and i had to send back for a refund
