Building sites run by large main contractors are not likely to accept these as safety footwear In the UK - they will not be compliant to H&S standards.
For personal/ private work they will do the job.

I wouldn't call them wide. They are very comfortable, but I don't think my feet are particularly wide. I just measured them for you and they are about 112 mm at their widest point. There's a good bit of stretch in them. As I said, I am very pleased with them.

Personally I would say they are light and true to size and very comfortable. I've worn then for 2weeks now at work with no problem.
