Hi, I can't answer your question directly, but I am very sensitive to Nylon, I suspect that there is a bit of a typo or ignorance here by who ever posted the advert and that Nylon should read Rayon, or what ever Micro Modal really is. I think a semi synthetic made from beech cellulose. I’d probably go one up, they’re very snug in the material. I’m 34-35 and the large was just right. I think the medium wouldve be been too tight especially around the leg. I have big legs! Lol

No more so than ordinary undies. They fit me very well, but I'd imagine support pants would have much stronger elastic.

There is a size chart at the bottom of the amazon page . I ordered M for my 32 inch waist and they are a good fit, but not loose. The chart suggest XL for 36 to 38 waist. XXL is 40 to 42 and might be too big for you. Amazon will always accept returns if the size does not suite you.

If you don’t sweat more than average I think you should find them comfortable. I hike in them regularly and wear them day-to-day.
