Tough one but I’m going to say yes especially as you are losing weight, you wouldn’t want to buy 38” as in a couple of weeks they would be falling down. They are not tight fit trousers and give plenty of room in the backside and top of the legs and after wearing them for a couple of days they tend to stretch out so ... yes

waist to crotch on the pair i bought was 14.5 inches, yes thats right 14.5. or approx 37cms. Great for those 1920s farmer look but as a modern day cut quite appaling

Cannot remember number. Rare trousers in that the main stores do not do 27 leg. A good buy, therefore. Hope this helps.

Bought larger waist size leg 29 just normal width.....however wasnt really quality required for smart casual so wouldnt recommend

I do not know the precise diameter of the lower half of each trouser leg but flat measure seam to seam there is 10.5 inches. So assuming a circumference of 21 inches, from this,would give a diameter of approximately 6.75 inches , which is reasonably roomy.

No, it's only the waistband that's got a hidden elasticated band, it gives you an extra 2" if needed on the waist
