I haven't poured water against mine to test, but I expect it would be more than sufficient in my opinion to protect against light rain hitting the sleeve as you walk from car to office, but any prolonged or heavie… see more

I would think that since it is a hard shell and needs to fit your tablet that you would need the 13.3" - have fun.

I bought mine for my Swift 1 and it fits perfectly. If. however, you leave a small bluetooth dongle plugged in the appropriate port it can catch on the sleeve's zip. If your Swift 3 is of the same dimensions as the Swift 1 nit should fit your laptop too.
