All I can say is that the ones my wife and I bought leaked after just a few weeks and that was just walking in wet grass.
The hard won reality for us is that the only truly waterproof boots are leather - and then even these must be cared for properly (e.g. dubbin) to prevent them cracking after a year or two.

Not sure if they 100% waterproof but I always spray new boots and shoes with a protector, and again after cleaning. Definitely will prolong their life

Yes, my experience is that they are waterproof, but remember, all ‘waterproof’ boots benefit from a spray now and then, even Gortex fabrics. I make a point of doing mine after they have got soaked - easy to do and it does ensure they keep my feet dry. But keep your receipt in case of dispute!
