They are light and the sole is definitely thicker than other water shoes, the fit is good and they do not become loose in the water but I’m not sure if they are adequate for a full hike.

Yes. Durable rubber soles , protect your feet from getting hurt by rock and stone.

I have just used mine on pebbly beaches, not sure they’d be robust enough for climbing boulders

Not really i got them to wear when we are camping just to pull on to go for a shower.
