I am a size 4.5/5 i bought the size 5 and it's perfect would suggest you go a size up as i dont think it will be too big and will allow for growing room, he will like wear them out before outgrow them. Great quality item tbh

My little boy is 17.5 and is wearing size 10-10.5 hope this helps, definitely size up on your normal size
