Hi

Many thanks for your query.

The manufacturer states that these boots are contain, "Dri-Tec waterproof, breathable membrane keeps feet dry". Practically these are proper waterproof boots and will keep you feet dry in most conditions.

We hope this is helpful and look forward to hear from you.

Kind Regards

They are ok initially, but after about 2 months - walking daily, not extreme conditions, they showed signs of water ingress. Have since cleaned thoroughly and reproofed with a waterproof spray. Seem ok again but don’t know for how long

I'm happy with them. Used on local hills and in the Brecon Beacons this year. They are good against water from below. Being fabric boots, some water's going to come in from the ankle cuff and tongue if things get very wet, unless you're wearing gaiters.

My feet haven't got wet yet and I walk in all weathers.
However, I haven't worn them in the bath yet!
I believe they would protect against short periods where water is up to your laces.
I would suggest that you don't walk through water/ boggy ground which is deeper than the height of the boots or the water may run down your shin and into your socks.

I bought them for my husband while ago. Just asked him and he said he's never had a wet foot. We dog walk in all weather on some pretty muddy footpaths sometimes Not sure you could treat them like wellies though and go paddling in them . But comfortable and fit for purpose as a walking boot.

The sole is water proof until the upper wears through. If you want real storm proof buy Caterpillar.
