After coming out of the washing machine I leave them to dry out a bit as they feel damp underfoot. This doesn't take long, they are not sodden. I suppose they are waterproof to a certain extent but I wouldn't wear them in the sea.

Well, yes the soles are waterproof, but don’t forget that the toe and heel are open and the upper part has holes !
Not a shoe for a storm, but ok for walking on wet grass

Yes. They are made entirely of plastic and the look and feel of them suggest to me possibly designed for use beside a swimming pool.

Obviously the soles are but as they are mule type shoes then the tops are not.
