Does your actual size still fit you at the end of the day of a long hike and with hiking socks? Or should you go a size up for that?

I always buy walking boots 1 1/2 size above my normal size to allow for swelling etc. I also wear thick hiking socks. Bought these in November in preparation for my 100K charity walk in June and I’m finding them very comfortable.
