Wasn't expecting that....

I love Jack Black - he is just so naturally funny, without even trying. He's a bit like the boy in the class, there's always one, who just makes every one laugh every lesson without hurting anyone's feelings. He was terrific in Guliver's Travels and stole the show in Jumanji 2. So I wasn't expecting for this to be such a huge disappointment. There were some 'chuckle' moments but you have to wait a long time between them. The performance I enjoyed most was that as the camp high priest. He was very funny and reminded me of Hank Azaria's performance as Kah Mun Rah in Night at the Museum 2 which was hilarious (he stole that film). The worst was Michael Cera as Oh and David Cross as Cain - absolutely no substance to either performance. The role of them female characters, I won't list them because this applies to all of them, were pretty pointless. Their characters seemed to be included just so the male characters could build up to the next funny line - which usually fizzled out before it got there. No, this film was horrendous. In fact I found it irritating because I was hanging in there just wanting to find some typical Jack Black entertainment in it, didn't happen Sorry can't recommend this at all - it was pants.

Silly, but fun

Im a huge fan of jack black. To me he rides that boundry of Silly and genuinely funny in a skillful way few can manage.
We also see some of usual candidates from his sidekick to some quick visits.

It wont be to everyones taste, but this film is good fun. No point giving a plot summary or anything else really as the film is is ultimately just about Jack Black being Jack Black :)

Jack black is a great actor but this wasn’t a good film,it was probably meant to be slightly silly but it was badly written, could have been a lot better, don’t pay to watch it.
