Really moving and inspirational story

I know very little about American Football except that it's huge in the USA. The story of Marshall captivated me, as it went right to the heart of why sport is so important in people's lives and communities. Sad in parts, and incredibly moving in others, this is a heart-warming tale that makes you feel good about people in the end. A lovely story, and great acting, as always, from the indomitable Matthew McConaughey.

fantastic true life story about a devastating plane crash that caused the loss of numerous college football players, staff and family members. It's a remarkable story about togetherness, endeavour and the sheer will to never give in. It's gripping and captivating and amazingly brought to the big screen. Well worth a watch.

Great film well written, and well shot. Good storyline Not bad acting.
Overall perhaps a little to "All American" but then i guess that's the nub of it for such situations.

Deffo one for the "Must watch" list I really enjoyed it, Nice quiet film with some subtitle humour thrown in.

Feel Good Movie

A movie that brings to light a terrible tragedy and then rebuilds again. That is a testament to the strength, courage, and beauty of people. Ian Mc Shane pops up in this and there is some excellent acting but the story is also strong on cliche

Captures great human spirit

I found this movie so emotional and so moving that such humanity, love and empathy could come from such a tragedy. It really captures raw emotion so well and left me feeling.....that's the sign of a great movie.

I really enjoyed this film when it first came out so and i finally got around to buying it. I went for the region 1 version purely because it was less expensive than the UK version. What a mistake. The quality was awful. It was almost vhs quality. The sound was fine but the picture was grainty and pixilated. I was really looking forward to watching the film so i stumped up an extra couple of pounds and watched the film on Amazon Instant. Much better picture quality. I give the film 4 stars and whoever mastered the dvd 0.
