Lovely stretch jacket with good pockets

I’m really pleased with this jacket. I wanted stretch denim as regular non-stretch ones made me feel a bit claustrophobic.
I was looking for a balance between a fitted and relaxed fit (wanted to be able to wear a fine jumper underneath), so although I’d usually be an 8-10/Small in tops, I opted for medium which is perfect. The sleeves on M are a little long on me, but I turn the cuffs back once which looks fine and makes the length just right. I bought Medium blue which is a lovely colour. I’ve washed the jacket once, which unsurprisingly softened the initial colour a little, but it’s still a good strong blue. There was a bit of a chemical smell on arrival, which has disappeared completely after washing. The outer pockets are a good size (you have to unpick a row of stitching holding them closed), and there are inner pockets which are really deep and comfortably hold a phone/small purse etc.
Very pleased and I’ve already worn the jacket a lot. Perfect for a summer cover up and early Autumn day jacket.
Am slightly disappointed that the price has dropped over £5 since I purchased it, but was still good value at £25.99.

Disappointing jacket

I am really disappointed by this jacket. It looks great, and is well made BUT it smells so strong of the dye even after I have washed it 3 times. It smells when you wear it, smells a room out and the wardrobe. Someone had left a review before about the smell and I didn’t take notice. 🙄 The sizing is all wrong too - I am a 10/12 and had to get large. Such a shame as it looks a nice jacket at a distance but mine is going in the bin now.

The jacket is ok, I ordered the black one BUT it smells horrible. After checking the internet it seems to be Formaldehyde. I tried wearing it, but the smell was too strong, even after washing it once, the smell didn't go away. That's too bad because I would've like to order the blue one too. I am usually between sizes 10 and 12, ordered an M and the waist is quite tight...

After trudging round every bricks & mortar shop in my area looking for a black denim jacket just like this one but unable to find one, I was just about ready to give up on the idea when I decided to look on Amazon - and found this gem!
I ordered the medium size which is *very* fitted on me, but does up and is also very comfy due to the slight stretch. The sleeves were very long on me, but I'm not tall and have short arms! But as I can sew, I shortened the sleeves/cuffs and they now look the same as original but are the correct length.
Best of all, the jacket looks expensive, is very well cut and a nice shape. The sleeves / armholes are neat; not all baggy and shapeless like so many denim jackets seem to be.
I notice that many reviewers mention an unpleasant smell, but my jacket had no smell at all.
The pockets do come sewn up (which is the norm for new garments) but if you carefully unpick the stitches, the pockets are usable. It also has 2 inside pockets which is a nice bonus.
I haven't yet had occasion to wash it, but when I do, it will be on a cool 30⁰ and I'll iron it damp.
If you're about to order, I'd say bear in mind that this jacket comes up slightly on the small side.
I'll probably also order a blue as I love it so much.
All I need now is a bit of decent weather to wear it!

Love this jacket! I'm 5'11" and have long arms. Normally I have trouble getting sleeves that are long enough. But these are perfect! The jacket is lightweight and comfortable, with a lovely bit of stretch. And for the price, it's a brilliant buy. No smell at all either, unlike for other reviewers. Haven't washed it yet, hopefully will keep it's colour. (Just noticed how dirty my mirror is...)

True to image of the denim jacket. It says a M and I wanted a size bigger but fits me exact and is very comfortable. However I am a size 8 UK! It does have stretch but very little.

So if you want a little a bit more room or looking for a M then order a size bigger. Otherwise a beautifully made denim jacket. Looks more expensive then the price. Also does not shrink or colour run in wash.

This denim jacket was just what I’ve been looking for. It’s lightweight perfect for spring/summer and stretchy. I’m 5ft 2 and size 12 with a 34DD bust and the large is a great fit. The arm length is a little long for me but I’ve turned the cuffs up. The side pockets were stitched closed but easily picked open. There are two larger pockets inside perfect for mobile phone. The light blue denim is slightly darker than the Amazon photo but I actually prefer it. Love it so much I’m going to order it in black too. 👍

Sized too small by normal standards

Sizing is the problem. I range between sizes 12-14 so bought an M initially but was far too small. Exchanged for a L and even that is quite snug. Nice quality jacket though.
