Boyka is back and still the best fighter in the world

Really enjoyed Undisputed 4. It still has that Undisputed 2 and 3 feeling. It’s very difficult to top Undisputed 3 but they done a good job. Boyka fights a good kickboxer in the ring but he dies later in the hospital and Boyka feels guilty about it as he is trying to find the right path and forgivness. He learns that this fighter has a wife back in Russia so Boyka decides to go there to tell her what happened and help her somehow. Thats all I am going to say but the story gets better as Boyka starts fighting again. This dvd played fine on my blu ray player. No problem whatsoever. For picture quality I recommend you get the blu ray version as it looks miles better but it will cost you. Thats why I decided to get the dvd version and its great. Boyka Boyka Boyka

Still the most complete fighter in the world..................

I had been tracking this DVD release for over two years, as desperate to see how Yuri Boyka was going to survive outside the prison system (how many fans must have downloaded this film free online as tired of waiting for the DVD.....) and even now, this is a Dutch import, albeit with soundtrack in English.
It was worth waiting ! Undisputed 4 is excellent. Scott Adkins is a great martial artist and a good enough actor to convey Yuri's inner conflicts, with his deep religious belief and moral code at odds with his underground fighting lifestyle. A debt of honour forces him to travel from Kiev back to Russia, where he is still a wanted fugitive. Small town rural Russia, with its border crossings and local mafia, are well portrayed. Yuri risks his freedom and also his chance of a successful and lucrative fight career, as he has been talent spotted while in Kiev. The fight scenes are excellent and never repetitive. One memorable scene has him taking down armed gangsters outside a nightclub. Unlike many action films, Yuri gets hurt during these and it's his sheer will as well as phenomenal skills that keep him alive.
Darkly funny too. In a nod to the earlier films, he tells his new manager before a fight not to "ask so many questions". Recommended if you like the series.

Ok 1st when i give this film 5stars it doesnt mean im saying this film is an all time great up there with shawshank and the godfather. What i am saying is for the type of film this is, a action film with a smaller budget than the big releases its absolutely spot on! Dont see how this film could be improved upon. Great fight scenes from the 2 leads with michael jai white playing the cocky boxing champ perfect (is there a better martial artist in movies today? No there isnt!) Michael's outstanding martial arts skills make the fight scenes easy for any director or fight co-ordinator. Scott adkins playing the prisons champion is fantastic as the lead so called villain. Again a fantastic martial artist. If your looking for an entertaining martial arts film then you cant go wrong with this film. Every minute is enjoyable

Some Michael Jai White action

Full disclosure, I am a big Michael Jai White fan. This movie is ok but nothing more. The story is poor, just enough to set MJW up for his fights. The fights and the fight choreography are excellent but they are the only highpoints in the movie. Enjoyable for MJW doing his stuff, not much else.

poorer than 2 and 3

I think the story should have been left at the end of number 3, as 4 stumbled along with a poor and predictable storyline and finished as if they'd ran out of budget. Fight scenes were well made, Scott was his usual good self in his portrayal of Boyka, but the film, while a must watch to know how things unfold for Boyka, was a stretch too far...

Just thought somebody should point out that Undisputed 4 and Undisputed fight for freedom is the same film just bought both and wasted £7 ,the film is good though plenty of action and martial art skills.

Watched a couple of trailers for this and thought it looked fairly decent so I bought it and wasn't disappointed. Good brutal fight scenes which were very well choreographed and the storyline wasn't too bad either. Michael Jai White and Scott Adkins were both great and are underrated actors! Definitely worth a buy. Now on to Undisputed 3 and the long awaited Undisputed 4 later this year.
