From the manufacturer
The material of these shorts has a high compression effect (compression = pressure). It is therefore normal that the shorts are a bit tricky to put on, and they have a very tight fit. The body warmth produced during exercise lets the material adapt to the contours of your body without losing any of its compressive properties.
Ultrasport Rainbow Men’s Compression Running Shorts
Made of 80% polyamide and 20% elastane. The material provides a high compression effect and is also very elastic to provide an optimal freedom of movement. This particularly tight yet elastic fit promotes blood circulation while stabilising and supporting you. Regular exercising in the Ultrasport shorts improves endurance and leads to faster regeneration of the muscles.
The quick dry function and the high breathability of the material provides the perfect wear climate especially during longer exercising sessions. The cord band in the elastic waistband provides the perfect fit even when moving quickly. A zip pocket provides space to store small items. The single-colour Ultrasport shorts are very versatile to combine and create an attractive, trendy look. They're ideal for professional, trained runners and also for those who wish to become one!
Compression Clothing from the Rainbow Series
Ultrasport presents innovative exercise gear for pros and amateurs with the compression running/exercise clothing from the "Rainbow" series. The technical properties combined with the high compression effect provided by the upper material promotes circulation and the perfect wear climate. This improves the nutritional values in the muscles. The more oxygen the muscles receive, the higher their endurance capacity. The release of pressure on the metabolic cycle saves energy and therefore reduces the time needed for regeneration. Additionally, muscles and joints are supported, which reduces the danger of injury. The Ultrasport "Rainbow" series offers short and long sleeve shirts as well as running trousers in various lengths for women and men.
We have successfully produced ranges of products for sports and outdoor categories for many years. We distribute these products exclusively through Amazon under the brand name Ultrasport.

One difficulty is knowing what size to order. I would normally go for Large or XL, being about a 38” waist, but I couldn’t find any size guide in the product information (or on the actual shorts when they arrived). I went for XL and they seem to fit me reasonably well. They do feel tight, which I suppose is the point, but not to the extent of being uncomfortable. However, I note from the description that they are supposed to be very tight, to the extent that they are difficult to put on. I wouldn’t say that this is the case with mine, so it’s possible that the size is too large to observe optimum effects.
As I say, they are tight, to the extent that my girlfriend suggested it would be indecent for me to leave the house in them. Well, as I said, I’m not really a runner anyway, so I decided to wear them under my normal trousers, which I’ve been able to do for a day at work. Even wearing them for a fairly extended time hasn’t caused any discomfort, though they do make doing to the toilet more difficult.
I can’t really say I’ve noticed any difference in circulation in my legs. Perhaps the XL shorts aren’t tight enough for this to be more noticeable. However, they do seem to have helped avoid any chaffing on my thighs so, while this isn’t exactly what they’re designed for, I’m glad that I’ve got them for this reason anyway.
It’s too early for me to comment reliably on their durability, other than to say that they’ve not fallen apart after a couple of washes, but they feel well-made so I expect them to last a while – though I do worry that if they stretch, and lose elasticity, then their effectiveness may diminish as they get older. As I say, it’s too early for me to say whether this will happen.
Very pleased with the quality, they are strong and stretch well so are comfortable. I have worn them all day and not once have I felt discomfort. The rainbow stitching is a nice effect but doubt many men will purposely pick compression shorts for the type of stitching although it is well made and no loose threads.
There is a small pocket on the back for small items.
Overall I do like them, the only thing I would point out is they are very pricey for what they are.
I really like the quick-dry material as I do get pretty sweaty in them!
The only minor complaint is the pocket is small but that's not the end of the world.
