Too Longo.

I saw the Christian Longo crime story a long time ago and perhaps this has coloured my opinion of this film, but overall, this story isn't right for the film medium as it is. It might have made a great film with another script, or perhaps with faster editing, or as a shorter piece, or a documentary style drama- who knows? The actors do their best but this film seems to slow down in the middle, then has drawn out ending and, overall, not much happening: it's hard to illustrate someone thinking, and this film is about ideas and overweening egos. Lots of "filling in" scenes, including a truly boring part for the protagonist's wife. This film is best for people who've never watched true crime on TV. I can't help but think, sadly, that there is something disturbing and dislikeable about both protagonists.

Wow, what a story, don't believe most of the bad reviews, they just didn't get what this film was about, personally I was riveted from start to finish, I don't want to give it away but it is a must see.

Boring and very slow. Not something to waste your time on. Not gripping or entertaining at all

A fascinating film depicting a true and ghastly crime. I'm glad I listened to the review that said "don't listen to the bad reviews". The manipulation and inability to walk away because of it was well portrayed. The film was like a guide to the Narcissist.

A film without a hero.

This isn't a plot about a heinous crime, but about the relationship between two men with flaws - a reporter accused of lying to the public and looking for redemption and a man tried for killing his wife and children. Even so, there were a couple of incidences when my blood ran cold as I began to understand how one of the men had allowed himself to be manipulated in an attempt to clear his name and start again. Brilliant!

Don't know what the bad reviews are about

This is a consistently good film from the beginning to the end, well made, good casting, good script and thought-provoking. Surprised to see Brad Pitt was the Executive Producer as I didn't think he had that in him. Well done.

This is a very boring film that mostly consists of very dull conversations between the two lead characters. I was waiting for an unexpected twist or turn but there was nothing. Not all stories, true or otherwise, deserve to be told.

Not to take the great acting skills away from any other actor in this film, but Jonah Hill plays an absolute blinder of a part. A step away from his usual 'goofy' rolls, you'll not be disappointed in this.
