The stitching stood out straight away, as long ends of it were hanging off the end of every stitching run, which needed tying off and cutting with scissors. I also singed the ends off with a lighter to make it hold better so the ends wouldn't unravel in the first wash. Once I spent 20 minutes on the outside tidying up, I wore them. The first thing you notice is how drafty they are. These are not for breezy or cold weather. The material is super lightweight, and where the zips hold the trousers together from being shorts, there is no flap, so you effectively have holes where drafts blow in around your inner thigh. Also not having inner flaps means that the cold zippers are rubbing against your skin. Not exactly nice when it's a less than hot day. I doubt I will wear these when summer is over, but for hotter months this will be a good thing.
Lastly, the two stages of 3 quarter length and shorts are all wrong. Take the bottom part off and they feel like trousers that shrunk in the wash. Take both off and they feel like 80's shorts that you used to laugh at your dad for wearing, which show off way too much. I'm not sure if I will bother with unzipping them to wear as any kind of shorts, maybe the first one and then roll up to make them proper length shorts will work.
apart from that i am happy , just a bit more care on quality of the stitching
