As far as back ends of buses go, this coat is the kindest. It is the most shapely one I found. And boy, have I been looking. I searched for a long, properly padded, insulating, truly 100% waterproof yet breathable, and shapely, even slimming (!) winter coat for many months like an obsessive eejit.
This is the ONLY long, padded coat I was able to find (anywhere on the market, not just Amazon) that is actually guaranteed waterPROOF. And with a waterproof rating of 2000mm. Which really is fine, even when walking in heavy rain for an hour or so. (Unless you want to go deep sea diving in it.) I tested it; ran the sleeve under a tap for 10 mns and the inside stayed DRY.
You can always add extra layers with waterproofing spray after some years if need be, but it seems solid and really durable.
Why don't other manufacturers make waterproof padded coats like this?? Are women not entitled to lots waterproof coats and boots as well?
Really happy with Trespass, so pleasantly surprised.
There is no cord or anything to pull it in, but the design is well fitted so there is an actual bit of waistline showing.
I am 1.78m tall, size 18/20 with proper luscious Michelin curves (further inflated by lockdown crisps). The XXL fits me fine; I can comfortably close the zipper and freely breakdance about.
The coat ends just below my knees. It zips up till just under my nose.
Pockets ok, not too deep but can fit a smartphone, keys, and several old, forgotten tissues just fine.
Zippers smooth, sturdy and waterproof.
Hood perfect too, big enough, yet not too loose. No silly Gandalf hat point effect either (though Gandalf is my hero), just a rounded shape. Fits well and stays put, even in heavy wind. The fake furry rim can be popped out too for further protection.
Oh! And the sleeves are perfectly long! Not too tight, but don't look bulky either! Gosh, Trespass, right on.
It's really warm, perfect for those brutal days when it's absolutely Baltic. Still feels breathable too.
Not heavy. Nice and lightweight somehow.
The colour is darker than in the ad, a nice charcoal black. Any white specs you see are just from my dirty mirror which I just realised I should clean, but probably never will.
Anyhoo, well chuffed. Get this one. Your search is ovah.

How customer reviews and ratings work
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings, help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.

Love this coat. The length is great and when worn with knee length boots you have complete coverage. The coat is warm definitely wind proof and states 2000 waterproof. As yet I haven’t worn it in a down pour but it’s ticking all the boxes to date. The coat is fitted and I wonder if I would have been better ordering one size up, however, I believe the way the insulation works may not be as successful if the coat was a looser fit. The hood fits snugly around your face, again keeping you wind free and dry. There is an adjustment at the back of the hood. It has a double opening zip, allowing you to open the coat at the bottom to allow for more movement when sitting, driving, etc. The elastic cuffs are on the inside of the sleeves giving a comfortable fit and another preventative for wind and rain. I would definitely recommend this coat and have many complimentary comments regarding the style, fit and how cosy it looks.

I took a bit of a chance when buying this coat and am so glad I did. It weighs almost nothing on but is warm, cosy and can withstand some typical Scottish winter weather. I am 5’5” and a 10/12 and the medium is spot on. The fit is nicely tailored so you don’t look like you’re wearing a sleeping bag unlike some long padded coats. The colour is not bright blue like in the pics but more of a mid-darker shade. The hood is a good size and shape and sits nicely on the head. Buy it, you won’t be disappointed. NB. If washing, make sure you follow the manufacturer guidelines to avoid stripping it of its waterproof qualities.

I haven't worn this coat yet, as it's like summer outside. What I can say is that they ( trespass ) recommend women go up a size.
I'm 5ft 2 and weigh 62kg. I already have a trespass raincoat in a Medium which I's a size12 which fits fine so wanted this coat in a Medium, but I could only find it at the time in a Large size 14. So I took the chance and ordered it knowing that Amazon are usually good for returning, I'm so glad I did. The size Large fits perfectly! Even the sleeve
length is perfect! to be honest it seems to be the same size as the Medium trespass raincoat I've got.
I've been looking for a coat to cover my knees for a few years now! I'm so sick of rain running down my coats on to my knees, so I'm really glad I got this one. Hopefully it will also keep my legs warmer in winter! plus Plenty of room around the legs for movement.
I measured the length from the stiching at the back of the neck at the base of the hood and comes up at just over 105cm when you smooth the material down with your hand and 102cm if you just lay the tape measure on top. The hood is a good size you can pull the fur rim down to give more protection from the weather or take off completely if wanted. I wish it had a higher waterproof rating, but that's OK as I'll just buy some wash in waterproofer to help.
And as other people have stated is that the pockets are small! i can just fit my Samsung S10 plus in the pockets which is in a fairly large wallet type case although a bit of a struggle that's why I deducted one star, no way will I be able to fit my phone, purse, tissues, keys and glasses in the both pockets so you definitely will be needing a handbag if you carry a lot of stuff. Hopefully this will keep my legs dryer when out doing the school run and out walking dog.
