FIRST..After many years wearing $100 Timberland boots to work on construction I decided to buy another style of boots with lower price, Supposedly they are waterproof but my opinion is that For a moderate rain they hold the water out but not for all day long.

SECOND. I do not know how this happened but the second day of use when I realized there was a broken grommet and there are a second one about to come of.
I honestly do not recommend these boots for construction works. Cheap goes expensive....

The main reasons for my purchase were the real leather uppers, reviews and the name. I thought the leather construction will protect my feet from the freezing Chicago winter. The boots fit well but there is something with the leather or insufficient thickness or the lack of linings that makes you feel the cold and my toes start hurting if I stay with the boots on for over 15 minutes (waiting for the train).

I also have a Nunn Bush leather dress shoes. Surprisingly they keep my feet warm in the same climate.I noticed linings in the Nunn Bush. Probably these linings make a big difference.

For a hundred bucks, I expected better protection. Or these are not meant for snow / cold climates.

I purchased this exact same shoe in 2010 and wore them for 2 years straight, every day. They were great, amazing, wonderful.

So I bought this same shoe AGAIN and.........I regret it. Even when ordering the SAME EXACT shoe/size/style, it is a different shoe. Not sure what they did, but it pinches my toes and hurts my heel. Overall, it is NOT a comfortable shoe. I keep hoping "they just need to be broken in" but it's been a month or two. I'm really disappointed.

I bought this timberland boots 45 days ago for work; and the first week of used they start breaking apart at the toes....I was very surprised of the poor quality of this boots, especially because the brand timberland for me use to mean good merchandise but after this boots and the poor quality I got A lot of doubts about this brand; don't get me wrong they look you and fit good but they falling in pieces...When I tried to send it back my window for return was expired....the bottom line I got stuck with it......

These used to be my go-to boot. Over the last five years, I've bought three pairs that fit great from day one and held up for over a year of daily use and abuse. Got a new pair and they didn't feel right. I looked at the label and the country of manufacture has changed. Unfortunately the implementation of the design changed too. They are not nearly as comfortable. The fit is tighter and the tongue doesn't sit right. Maybe they'll get better as they break in...maybe not...but the old design fit perfectly every time. Just a heads-up for anyone in a similar situation.
