Good boot but not great. Comfortable and waterproof but not very warm, sole is quick to wear and the lace hooks can be a pain (require long laces that lay on the floor and get wet when not wearing boots). I have had other Timberland boots in the past that I liked more. Boots are not bulky and easy to walk in.

We bought these for our son for Christmas. He says they're the most comfortable pair of shoes/boots he has owned. He says they're nice and warm but don't really do well with grip if it's icy outside. Otherwise, they look great and feel great so that gets my vote!

Timberland is normally known for there quality, not so much with particular boot, its 40 degrees here a d I can feel the chill while walking, not good, and as I mentioned definitely not comfortable, I wish I could return this shoe but unfortunately I wore them outside, I'm my opinion the boot isn't worth over 40 bucks

If I could give these boots zero stars, I would. Not sure if all the boots are defective, but my pair of boots were. Inside the lining of the boots, their was a pointy protrusion. That rubbed on my ankle for one day, to the point where my ankle was slightly bleeding and I could hardly walk for the day.

I was looking for something half way between sneakers and full-on hiking boots. These are a good compromise.

They took a few days to break in, but now fit nicely. I'm not a big fan of the hook method of lacing, but these work adequately and don't catch on things.

As others have commented, it is a good idea to order a bit larger than your usual size. I wear a 10 ½ shoe and I wouldn't want anything smaller than the 11s I bought.
