The disclosures made by former CIA employee Edward Snowden in 2013 not only shocked the public opinion but also showed the disturbing and frightening similarities between the world we live in today and that of Orwell's fiction, where independent thinking was censored and holding thoughts opposing or questioning those in power was considered a criminal act, a thoughtcrime.

Excellent doc about a brave man.

Far from being a traitor, Snowdon is clearly a brave and committed social reformer. He speaks eloquently and intelligently. He marshals his arguments succinctly, and expresses them with self effacing humility. Really glad I watched this as I now see him as someone who will go down in history as a heroic figure and champion of civil liberties, not the cartoon villain that those he wishes to expose would characterise him as. Bravo.

Great short film that's basically a sincere counsel to us all from a highly intelligent, truthful, noble person. Most people would not be able to make this level of sacrifice for the benefit of humanity.

Good content but please cut out the background dirge!

Whether you love or hate Edward Snowden, he's a great speaker. I got about halfway through this before the constant one-note droning tone in the background got too much. Shame.

Really interesting and illuminating. Good food for thought and understanding of why Snowden made the choices he did.
