Meet the Boys

Billy Butcher

A former C.I.A. operative turned vigilante, Billy Butcher is as charming as he is cunning. He’s a force of nature, who can talk almost anyone into anything, either through a smile or brute force – or sometimes both. He’s consumed by one mission in life: to destroy superheroes. But this personal vendetta is driven by his hatred for one Supe in particular: Homelander. Butcher’s determined to get revenge on Homelander, no matter the cost. And he won’t let anyone or anything stand in his way.

Hughie

Since we met him in Season One, Hughie Campbell has lost everyone important to him. First his girlfriend Robin, who was ruthlessly murdered by A-Train, then his father, who’s living in witness protection, and finally Starlight, who still holds a grudge following the revelation that Hughie was working as a double agent. At the beginning of Season Two, all Hughie has is the Boys. But when Butcher returns more violent and driven than ever, Hughie finds himself at a breaking point. Can he continue down this dark road without knowing where it leads?

Frenchie

A drug-dabbling, gun-running jack-of-all-trades, Frenchie’s skillset is an invaluable resource to Butcher and the Boys, especially now that he’s given them a place to stay while they’re on the run from… everyone. Though the basement offers a temporary safe haven, it’s full of cockroaches – and tension. Frenchie’s at the top of every Supe’s hit list – and try as he might, he still can’t communicate with the one person he believes understands him the most: Kimiko. And he can’t invent his way out of everything – especially his troubled past.

The Female

On the surface, it looks like Kimiko’s found her niche within the Boys – she’s their face-tearing, eye-gouging, bone-crunching muscle. But there are other sides of this silent killer we’ve never seen. Her search for family, truth and self-expression reveals to the Boys that she’s more than just a super-powerful weapon to be activated at their whim. She’ll need to use every ounce of her new-found maturity and growth as she deals with personal tragedy and takes on a stronger and more dangerous enemy than ever before.

All he wanted was to stand up to Vought and avenge his father’s tragic ending, but his decision to trust Butcher quickly proved foolish – now his wife and daughter are in witness protection while he’s holed up in a grimy basement. Sooner or later, MM faces a choice – keep fighting, or give up forever and go back to his family – but can he really let the fight go?

With the face of a movie star and the superpowers of a God, Homelander is the greatest superhero alive, and the leader of The Seven. Not only can he fly, he’s got superstrength and superhearing, and he can see through almost anything with his X-ray vision and then destroy it with his laser eyes. On the surface, he’s affable, modest, and sincere; the ultimate Boy Scout, an all-American, God-fearing patriot. But just like mere mortals, even superheroes have secrets.

Starlight

Annie January is as down-to-earth and sincere as they come; the girl next door with superpowers. And as Starlight, “The Defender of Des Moines,” all she’s ever wanted to do is save the world – and while a lot of people say that as a corny catchphrase, she actually means it. So when she’s selected to join The Seven, it’s every dream she’s ever had come true. But that dream becomes her worst nightmare when this fresh-faced Midwesterner arrives in New York, and learns that the old adage is true: never meet your heroes.

But underneath the cavalier exterior of a celebrity superhero lies the soul of a mortal athlete with a deep insecurity about staying at the top. His superstrength and heightened senses, such as his razor-sharp hearing, are matched only by his proficiency in the martial arts. Criminals run in terror at the mere mention of his name. But that’s pretty much all the company wants from him – because he’s The Seven’s token aquatic Superhero. As a warrior, a feminist, a humanitarian, and a member of The Seven, Queen Maeve is the ultimate role model for little girls all over the world. But to reach such astonishing heights, she’s had to make sacrifices along the way. Released WEEKLY !
(This does not reflect the show) We've waited a year to watch Season 2 literally the only worth while release of the year so far, considering the implications of lock down effecting every production studio and they release 3 episodes why 3 I do not know, and then say the rest of the season is released WEEKLY. This isn't Television, this is the INTERNET where the entire season is released for you to binge watch at your own pleasure. It doesn't work like this Amazon I pay for a service you are not delivering !

Stop complaining
Watched the first 3 episodes, absolutely loving it!! A new episode is being dropped every Friday, which is awesome as i would probably end up watching it all in one freaking day.... well maybe not in one day the episodes are to long for that, don't have that kind of time. This show is amazing, dark, and just so funny. So far, so good. Look forward to the rest and loving how they are spacing the episodes out. So much gorier than season 1, and the violence is insane. Crazy show, at a crazy time. A brilliant powerful satire on our society all while not taking itself to seriously. Homelander is such a sinister creep, and we are getting to know him more and more. Deranged beyond words. A great character. Obsessed with the show, and let us not forget Watchmen does exist, and before that there may have been something else like it, but if you like real grit in "superhero" stories, and aren't easily offended, get hold of the comic, and watch this! It's a blast. Extremely adult, shows got ba**s, we need something like this right now. It's just awesome and refreshing.

I should also state, this is more of a slow burn season, it's got a different vibe than season 1, but not in the boring sense. After 5 episodes now i can safely say that it's building up to something really good and this has been an intense season so far. Most original thing to watch right now.

Edit: What a season that was!! Sure it's got it's minor flaws, but you know what, It was great and a lot of fun! Just as good as season one. People have been whining saying it's not as good as season one, but sometimes that doesn't mean anything. Season 1 is season 1, and season 2 is season 2, a show is aloud to change. It's not bad at all. People complain so much, but this was an epic season and wow, that final!!

Streaming is about Binge Watching
Giving it 1 Star because no binge-watching only 1 episode per week. WTF? That's outdated TV. If I wanted I TV I would watch TV. I come here to stream and binge-watch. Amazon you suck big time giving us 3 episodes than 1 per week. What outdated marketing is that? I shall just end cancelling my Prime and then join for 1 month to binge-watch. Boys are 5 Star as a program although a bit of SJW has crept in with only no boy able to kick the bottom of a girl but a girl able to kill a boy etc.. I'll let that slide because in all other ways it was totally non-pc. But wary of SJW creep so keeping my eye on it. Amazon gets your act together and release the whole season as you know you should. As a protest, I will cancel my Prime for the rest of this month and maybe wait a few months before renewing to binge watch. At least Netflix has the balls to release a whole season at a time ie Ozark, Away etc..

They're not dropping all the episodes at once so you can't binge watch it, deal with it you pathetic entitled children, you're making us nerds look bad. The show is great.

Outdated format of one episode per week!!!
In this current day and age of having to pay multiple subscriptions for online streaming services, I always liked the fact that one of the major pluses was that we'd get to binge watch entire seasons at once. I feel that Amazon have taken a HUGE step backwards here and done themselves and the prime viewers a disservice!

Brilliant
What a good show that was. The scenes were pretty short and i feel like they could have had a longer dialouge at some key moments. It almost felt like i was watching a trailer, which i love.
