This is an extraordinary film

Very well produced and directed.
Superb acting.
A deep and rich tapestry of a family's struggles in Jerusalem after a Polish pogrum.
Intricate weaving of both the mind and physical events unfolding before them; as told through the lense of a child's parent's views and education.
It wonderfully mixes the mind's eye view with life's lessons as examples.
Magnificently edited and soundscaped with delicate musical cues, overlayed by narrating both the overarching story by the grown up remanicing child and the intricacy of
each stage on the family's progress by the mother's examples.
A wonderous tale of giving one's all for the benefit of the next generation.

A skillful, well thought through narrative of a small Judaic family, navigating it's way amongst the greater political forces and having to contend with the extended family's expectations.

A tour de force of mental health, family values, survival and unconditional love.
