I thoroughly enjoyed this and Rebecca De Mornay is certainly at her wild eyed, slightly insane best here, and Michael Rooker who plays her husband is excellent. It's an intriguing plot treated with a heavy does of 'tongue in cheek'. It has a kind of 1950's feel about it although set very much at the time it was made (1999). I loved the characterisations, each one of them being pretty unattractive while being strangely attractive and interesting at the same time. I think you'll get what I mean when you watch it. If you accept it was made some 16 years ago...then I reckon you will enjoy it.

I love the concept of the husband having a double life, in one life he is a redneck hick, and in the other he is a research scientist driving a porsche. Not to mention his "trailer trash" wife appears to be bi-polar (or some kind of personality disorder) which is also entertaining.

Worth a watch for the suspense and light hearted humour!

I liked it...
I've always liked Rebecca De Mornay as an actress which is why I watched this movie. It's not brilliant & definitely not her best but it's kinda crazy and I like that.
