I am a 30 - 32 waist and fit in mostly 32" waist jeans with the occational branding where I need the 30" waist. So I ordered the Medium of these.They do fit but maybe a little too tight. Wondering if large would have allowed for less tightness for exercises like squats. When doung some exercises like squats I feel the tightness pull on the knees which is a mild distraction of annoyance. Nothing so bad that I would not use them but just think the bigger size would bring a better experience.These were the first pair I've ever bought so have no base line to compare to.The colour was a little bit of surprise. I expected them to be a bit darker, but they are still a nice colour. Think it was charcoal I ordered or ones that were looking almost black in the add picture, with jet black seam details. What came was a bluish grey with black seem details. They still look good under black shorts and red shorts so that is good. I have found myself looking for another pair but of full length and double checking they are listed as black rather than charcoal. Lesson learnt that charcoal is nowhere near black in colour!
