The history of Superga
The Superga brand was founded on October 3, 1911 when the company Anonymous for Shares Walter Martiny began to produce waterproof boots for agriculture with rubber sole and vulcanized rubber footwear. In 1934 Superga now includes dozens of models of footwear for sports practices (tennis, basketball, yachting, gymnastics). In 1951 the merger with Pirelli increased production dramatically: between 1952 and 1975 pairs of shoes produced increased from 2 to 12 million a year. In the 70s Superga diversified to add sports shoes with technical attributes.
Now, the collections include a wide range of styles and colors in addition to the original Superga Vulcanized and Sport lines. The 2750 has been an icon from the beginning. For a long time a favorite to bring Italians from city to beach on weekends, it is easy to wear and designed to dress up casual sportswear. The Superga 2750 can be washed like your favorite jeans to create your own vintage look. Superga celebrates the fun lifestyle of the 2750 offering a wide range of colours, fabrics and prints every season for women, men and children.
The classic and original canvas sneaker Superga has acquired an iconic status since its inception in 1911. No longer the reserve of chic Italians who have worn them from city to beach for generations, this timeless design works with retro 50s looks like short pants or tea dresses for girls and with chinos and classic polo pants for boys.

I returned the shoe (UK 11) because I found it narrow. Had it *not* been narrow, might well have considered returning it on grounds of a) added weight and b) hitting my head on door frames. I think the meaning of 'plus' needs to highlighted more in the product description; 4cm is a fair sized stack.
