An interesting film about a sensitive topic...

A very interesting and strange but beautiful film about a sad and sensitive topic. I was on the fence over the wife’s actions. I could understand her despair at her husbands gambling and debts. Especially when he took money out of her savings. I can understand she needed a friend and a shoulder to cry on at that time. Her new boyfriend was initially that. But I still think her behaviour was wrong in many ways. I really did feel for the husband in this film even though he was no saint himself. Xx

Crying my eyes out before it came to an end. A moving, bitter sweet film. I warmed to all the characters - even the irascible husband - in the end. Beautifully acted by all, and production, and direction superb.
