Is making films like this some kind of elaborate "tax dodge"?

I would categorise this film with......maybe "The Taking" or "A brush with Satan" for basic "unwatchability". Maybe. Read on if you feel you must, but honestly, you're probably better off stopping now........

.......still reading? Okay, I admire your spirit of adventure. Here goes;

First off, the art above is pure "artistic imaginings" because that is not a scene from the film - in fact one of these women isn't even in it, as I recall....
We start of with a bunch of talking heads, documentary style, spouting a veritable smorgasbord of old (new age?) ideas about the significance of stones......messing with energy frequencies from stones could damage all mankind, says one.....something about stones not being for "ordinary household use" (I think the message in that one might have got a bit lost in the editing)......"since time immemorial" says another head, stones have been used as a vehicle for gaining possession of a person's soul (apparently)....blades forged from meteorites have been used to possess a person's soul too (new one on me that)......that sort of thing. Ah, a "documentary", I thought. But no. Oh, dear me. No.

We then get a narrator wittering on about "elemental spirits" older than time itself, who roamed the earth, but man forgot about them.......or something.

Cue some people in cloaks wandering about in the forest, to little effect. I have no idea why.

Then we get some jaunty acoustic guitar music and our Scooby gang appear at some dilapidated old mansion. I don't know why. Some bloke appears at a window and tells them Byron stayed there, though this has nothing to do with the story. They wander about the house and grounds, some numpty in a hat plays the guitar, while they all sit on the floor. They hold hands together.....they find a stone......some bloke appears.....I had zero idea what was going on. Or why. I cared even less.

There is no plot (let alone it having an "arc"), no character development and no atmosphere. The acting is absolutely abysmal. These are not actors.
There is very little dialogue and that which there is seems largely ad-lib (and with no second takes!). The musical tone is all over the place. Also, I didn't get why there was all the speeded up footage of people putting up tents (it reminded me a bit of "ground force". - remember that?). The music is sometimes so loud it drowns out the voices and a lot of the shots are just too dark to follow what is going on (so that is something, I suppose).

At the end, the narrator reappears to tell us the spirits have been awoken, he warns us, will mankind listen...I think.....I wasn't really paying attention by this point.

Some films are so bad, they have a certain, almost hypnotic, quality to them. You keep watching in fascination, simply because they are so bad. They are almost endearing........."Midnight Skater", "Evil Awakening", "Bigfoot vs. Zombies" (a personal favourite of mine)....that sort of thing.

This isn't one of them. I actually found myself shaking my head while watching this. And I was sitting by myself. It is the kind of film that you would show at the start of a film making course as an example of how not to make a film.

They probably had fun making this and I'm sure everyone involved are nice people. I don't blame them. I really don't. If you can't direct or write. You can't direct or write. If you can't act, you can't act. I understand. It's not their fault. As I said, I don't blame them.....

I blame Amazon Video. Again.

Some ones ego convinced themselves they could make a movie, writer ( if there was one ) can go back to pre school along with the director, editor and so called actors. A perfect example of what not to do when you fall out of the pub on a Friday night, Cleaning the toilet is more stimulating BE WARNED
