Loved the TV series when that was new, didn't realise there was film version. Suffers a bit from a big-film-style plot that takes a while to get going but the character acting and lampooning is brilliant and Phil Cornell and John Sessions are absolutely spot on. Highlights for me were Mick and Keith running the corner shop, Phil's evil Geordie gardener, Jack Nicholson and Joe Pesci - but it's all good.

One humongous disappointment

I used to love watching Stella Street 20 years ago and it’s been awhile. I really struggled to recognise who the characters were supposed to be as a make up was so appalling . With it being a film version expected the prosthetics be a whole lot better . A bit gutted that I actually had to pay money for this

The Original TV series was great, and very funny. But what happened with this? Its Terrible, and completely unfunny. Don't waste your money on this rubbish. Such a shame !!

Idiosyncratic brilliance

This film had me crying with laughter, its two comedians giving themselves complete freedom to take the Mickey out of A list Hollywood actors and over the top Hollywood films which they achieve brilliantly. Why this film was made and how it was financed is a mystery but once again is an example of irreverent and idiosyncratic British comedic brilliance. It's a wonderful tribute to Phil Cornwell and John Sessions.

This is a movie length episode, not the series. Therefore somewhat disappointed with the value

A fantastic comedy series with some really eccentric characters played by Phil Cornwell and John Sessions. Loads of funny moments. Well worth buying, especially if you missed it on T.V
