Customer reviews
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings, help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.

Good points
1.It looks the part (it isn't, trust me)
2.It's a small yellow and black stubby, therefore cute and somewhat bee like
Bad points
1.It feels really cheap
2.On use it falls apart in your hands! Not literally, but the top that covers the shaft storage for the other bits, comes off in your hands, this even happens when using the ratchet function, so less hand movement
3.The bits seem soft, only used it once, but one of the cross head parts is already losing its integrity
4. Believe it or not at ^3.19 for a Stanley tool it is over-priced
After seeing this at my house my partner was enamored by its chubby, stubby bee like loveliness, so being a bloke who never misses a chance as gaining brownie points I also bought her one which should arrive today. Hopefully she will just admire its looks and never use it.
The founders of Stanley must be ratcheting both ways in their graves seeing what has happened to their once famously fantastic tools.
Avoided for the reasons above, may well return.
There are three positions for the ratchet system, left, right or the middle setting which locks it and can be turned both directions.
I liked this so much I purchased a second one to keep in the car and have used it to remove screws to get under the footwell in a BMW 1 series (using a torx bit not supplied) to remove and replace a pollen filter where my torx screwdrivers where to long.
The ratchet system works well but for me personally it’s a bit of a gimmick and every time I use this I forget about the feature and Use it like a normal driver.
In use, the bits fall out as they are not secured properly so you'll spend time trying to catch them (or in my case pulling out the cooker as they managed to go behind it).
While trying not to lose the bits you'll also find that the lid of the handle (which is where the other bits are stored) will randomly decide to fall off when you are in the middle of doing something; as it contains the spare bits it's not that light if it lands on you & the bits can scratch surfaces too.
The ratchet is awkward to engage & use as it only seems to work intermittently.
Honestly, I am shocked at how very bad this is.
I've had Stanley tools for decades & expected even their cheaper range to actually work.
It's only a manual screwdriver so it's not like I'm expecting impact driver performance for less than a tenner. You'd think they could get that right.
I wanted a compact manual screwdriver with a few different bits to keep in a kitchen drawer for odds & ends where it's not worth pulling out my regular kit.
This is NO GOOD at all.
As a tool to fit multiple bits which fits in small spaces it's great. It's wide enough to get a grip, not too long, no complaints. However, although the bits are universal 6 sided and fit any other tools it feels slightly loose to me and although it is magnetic the bit has fallen out a couple of times for me.
The other issue is although it's easy to open the back to reach the bits (perhaps too easy) it's actually hard work getting the bits out of their holder.
So overall... does the job, good value, and I like the brand but it's not perfect.
It's Stanley, it's stubby ratchet screwdriver. What more do you need?
The top.of the screwdriver holds the BITS. A good selection, or swap for ones you want to use. The lid keeps your bits on place and easy enough to select your bit.
I've stored with an extension bar, for those longer to reach jobs.
Easy to recommend.
Strong, will do the job, good ratchet movement, palm sized, good quality.
Go on, what you thinking about it for?
Oh there's cheaper .... There's a reason for that.
