Not a bad case, it's thin so doesn't add too much weight to the Oasis. But is it worth a whopping 65 pounds? The answer is a huge no. It would feel expensive at even half that price. Also, I've just paid 65 pounds for a "premium" case and it has a huge Amazon logo stamped on it which looks a bit naff.

This is an authentic leather case that will develop character as it marks up with scratches etc. Simply put it will mature and develop a been around the world look. If you don’t like that look then don’t buy this case. It is quite grippy and offers sufficient protection. So pleased that Amazon chose to finally release this premium case. By the way the leather covers the front and the rear of the case.

Beautiful case, feels very good quality, so much better than the cheap (£20??) case it’s replacing (I bought an case in Dixons Travel with my Kindle Oasis to offer protection from the start, but it didn’t support the wake/sleep feature as advertised and also felt a bit cheaply made).
The official Amazon leather case is fantastic and the leather looks and feels amazing and really makes the already £200+ overpriced Kindle feel truly premium. But at £64.99 Amazon are having a laugh !!!! Great product, but an absolute rip-off price.. for that reason alone a one star review.

Classy and good protection, but a little pricey and fragile

I had one of these premium leather covers for my old paperwhite so knew what to expect. As others have said it does mark easily - being a kind of nubuck finish - but i like that. It soon develops a nice aged look and feels a bit more “bookish” which is good. Pretty expensive but I thought I’d get it at the same time as the Kindle Oasis so it’s orotected from day 1. I’d recommend if you can get over the price!

The corner of the tray has broken off and leaves the corner of the Kindle exposed. The plastic is pretty brittle. I put some duct tape over the gap but it spoils the cover. Shame as it’s pretty good otherwise.

So not worth the price

Lets cut to the chase. Is this worth £65. No. Not even slightly. I have the 2019 4G 32Gb Kindle Oasis and already have the black leather case for it. I liked the look of this one as I quite like old fashioned styling so thought I'd give it a go. The leather smells fantastic. I used to own an Aston Martin and the leather smells exactly the same as the interior of that car. However it marks really easily. I'm not talking about the scratches that people seem to like (I don't btw, and it came "pre-scratched") but it also shows finger prints and has a strange surface that marks when you wipe it with your hand. In fairness this may have warn-in over time. Also the Amazon Logo seems a lot more obvious on this than on the black one.

So, in summary, it smells nice but in every other way the cheaper black leather case is a better option for me. May be worth a punt if it turns up in the black Friday sales

Scuffs easily. Not worth the money at all

I'm not convinced this is genuine leather. It seems more like bonded leather (leather scraps blended with plastic). I don't like the huge Amazon logo stamped on the front. I don't like the way it scuffs and marks when you so much as put it down. I've had mine less than 1 day and it is scuffed up already. It in no way feels like a premium product worth £65. Do not buy.

Very nice fit, and great quality for sure! It is a very soft to the touch, yet durable cover! It fits the kindle oasis perfectly. My only concern is that it does not hold the cover open magnetically when I read, so I have to manually hold it, which makes it a little tiring after a while. Also, it increases the weight of kindle drastically. On the other hand, it does offer good protection to your device. Overall, I would recommend it.

Nice case but marks too easily

This cover provides essential protection of the Kindle Oasis. It has more of a leather feel than many of the other Amazon cases. In additional it does not dramatically add to the weight of the Kindle.

Less positively the case marks very easily which whilst adding a little character can go to far. I don’t use this case when travelling as a result. The case is also far too expensive - Amazon’s profit on the case must be enormous.

In general if you’re prepared to pay the premium for a Kindle Oasis you’ll probably buy this case. It needs to be more robust for me. Overall three stars.
