Not lace-ups, these are slip-ons with faux laces

These are sold as having a lace-up closure. In reality, they are slip-ons, having some very light closed-loop elastic where laces should be. There is no way of tightening the elastic to adjust the fit. You could tie a knot in the elastic but that would be difficult to undo and the elastic is not robust enough for that purpose. They are also branded as GO Walk, but I felt the cushioning on the front sole was not up to the usual GO Walk level. I suppose I could have cut the elastic and put real laces in but felt I should not have to and the lace holes did not look substantial enough for that purpose. There also felt like some rippling of whatever reinforcement was being used to reinforce or shape the inside of toe box, and I thought this could either become annoying or break down easily. These probably work for some people and I can see how another reviewer found them a replacement for running shoes. Unfortunately, I'm not willing to pay the high purchase price for something that was not as expected.

Sketchers shops don't seem to sell half sizes

Husband had been recommended to wear Sketchers by a friend. Having tried on a size 10 & 11 in a Sketchers shop established he needed 10.5. Store didn't stock half sizes and didn't know if Sketchers even did half sizes. Husband found these online so was very pleased (especially as they went up by £15 after his purchase).....has worn them for a long walk once so far and seems comfortable with no blisters at the end of it.

These are the kind of trainers you can wear all day long, the sole is soft and spongy so absorbs heel strike, making them comfortable to wear for long walks, runs or just on days a when you are on your feet all day long.

Comfortable fit, true to size and not narrow. I have previously returned two pairs that arrived, length ok but too tight on the sides of the feet. These are comfortable and lightweight with good support on heels.
I am about to order a second pair to store for the future. Happy walking ahead!
