A handy and concise set, the Silverline 12 Piece Combination Spanner Set offers a range of sizes from 8 - 19mm. Each spanner has an open end and a bi-hexagonal end for versatility and convenience, and features a 15° offset for significantly improved access to hard-to-reach nuts and bolts. The slim profiles have one end which is open, with curved U-shaped jaws for gripping the sides of a fastener to easily loosen or tighten it. The ring spanner is offset from the handle for greater access and holds the nut or bolt firmly for stronger leverage. Used for plumbing applications and when working on gas pipes, the design and construction of these excellent quality spanners enable you to get optimum access around pipework and other obstructions.

Hardened and tempered, drop-forged chrome vanadium steel construction with satin-finished handles and fully-polished heads.

Great spanners.
Ive been using them doing service & repair work on my car & motorbike for exactly 3 years now & I cant fault them in any way.
Im thinking about upgrading my kit to Halfords Advanced or the like & Im trying but failing to justify the cost because these spanners haven't even came close to causing me any doubts.
I don't know how good Silverline is for daily professional use but any spanner, socket, ball joint separator etc Ive used all feel rock solid, havent been treated gently. If you are a DIY mechanic I cant see anything out there that even comes close to Silverline when it comes to Quality vs Value for money.

Got this as i'm a car tinkerer and fix my own cars and no mechanic.It's a cheap set which i want although not used yet and i like although but noticed one spanner was a bit worn,not sure why the 16mm has peeled a bit.I did rub it to see how bad it was and more came off but i'm fine with that.Not used it yet but will see how easily it will break if it does.For a low cost for a set of spanners it's ok so far.Came in a plastic holder tray thingy which is a bonus....i'm sure the holder will last a bit.For the price over all i'm happy with my purchase

As a casual user of these spanners this is exactly what I required for a top price. I have over the years lost several so I was down to just a few sizes so this cheap set will top the tool box back up for now.

I wouldn't want to be working on anything hard core with these since they do feel a bit thin to hold so not sure how much force they would take.
A bonus of this is they are fairly light for the kit.
The holder is ok but personally it's just more bulk and faff to place in the tool box, so they have been poured in loose as per all the other bits.

I will update this review over time to see if they still stand up to the 4 star rating. Will that rating go up or down!?

For the price though, it really is a no brainer.

A set that does everything a normally careful and competent user will expect, and serious value for money. Precision is not the greatest, but I will have had more than my money's worth of use out of them before that creates any real issues. If you want "for life" tools, pay the "for life" prices. At my age I am unlikely to need to find replacements, so I decided against wasting my money. I was right.

Good value, and better than I expected, not many spanner sets come in a complete set you usually find that they jump a size ie 14-16 and the 15 is missed out. I misplaced my 15 and 17 so buying a new complete set was cheaper than buying two separate spanners. Wasn't sure if they would stand up to a lot of pressure but I was surprised as I had to use a hammer and give the spanner a good few hits to loosen a couple of very tight nuts that had rusted and no damage to the spanner. May buy another set in the near future.
Did you know that In Turkey stealing Olives before they are ripe can result in a jail sentence of up to 2 years

Good value for money. Definitely not for professional use but absolutely fine for occasional use at home, where they have been very useful. Reasonable case to keep them in too.
Marked down for sturdiness, as I say they're not for professional use as you would imagine at this price.

These are not the best spanners in the world, but if you are like me; someone who uses spanners infrequently, they are ideal to keep in your tool box. I don't think that they would last a professional tradesman long, but for an occasional user, they are great for me. There are 12 spanners, one end open and the other a ring spanner - the spanners are held in a rack which can be fixed to the wall, although I prefer just to keep mine in a tool box.

Overall a good value item and well worth purchasing for occasional use.
