A toolbox essential, the Silverline General Purpose Screwdriver Set consists of a selection of types and sizes of screwdrivers for every application in general DIY and building work. Hardened and tempered chrome vanadium steel shanks with chemically blackened tips enable great grip and make them resistant to corrosion. The ultra-comfortable, high-grip ergonomic handle provides excellent control during usage and torque transition, allowing you to insert and remove screws quickly, easily and efficiently.

Colour-coded handles allow for easy recognition between tip-types avoiding confusion and mistakes when looking for the right type of screwdriver. Includes 3 x flared-slotted drivers (3 x 75 mm, 5 x 100 mm and 6 x 100 mm) and 3 Phillips (P01 x 75 mm, PH1 x 100 mm and PH2 x 100 mm).

2. Lasting for a while before edges of the screwdriver are rounded
3. Allow a comfortable but strong grip on the screwdriver
4. Show no or very small contortion under torque when used.

No. 3 is not the strength of this screwdriver set.

I wouldn't buy this set again.

I've had these for around three months now and mainly been using just one Phillips screwdriver around the house and on my desktop pc. I probably use it once every couple of days.

Initially I couldn't fault them. After all, my dad even used this brand for years as a plumber when I was a kid and I recognised the name.

After a month or so though, it's started wearing away like a cheap screwdriver would and whilst it's still usable, I don't feel like there's any real difference between these and a poundland one it terms of longevity which is pretty bad honestly.

Three months in, I expect the main screwdriver I use will not last more than a year. Considering the light use of it, I don't see the benefit of this over a cheap poundland set.

Good screwdrivers, solid build quality and do the job well. The six sizes/heads should cover just about any regular need for them. Used them for building a couple computers and the magnetic head comes in very useful. Feel quite sturdy and were a good price. If you want some screwdrivers look no further. Arrived quickly.

I came from the future to tell you this is one of the WORST screwdriver / phillips kit I ever had. Same as you, I was impressed by the huge amount of positive feedbaks and high rating at 4.6 out of 5 from more than 3,700 ratings, as of 27 Jul 2021! Take that plus the 'reasonable' price of £6.10 and you ask yourself, 'What could go wrong?' Answer is: EVERYTHING!

It takes one big (sturdy) wardrobe or some hardened screws to immediately start feeling pain and regret. I've literally used these ONCE in 2019 in that same wardrobe I mentioned. Now I am cleaning my office and found them burried in a drawer. Of course, they are going to the bin.

Do yourself a favour: take your money and invest in a better (durable) kit from a known brand.

Additional notes:

1) No, I'm not the company's competitor. I'm a regular customer who can't believe this is even selected as an 'Amazon's choice' product, which is also usually a decision factor for my purchases! Amazon, if I were you I'd remove your logo from there immediately.

2) I usually don't write reviews and the combo ratings + feedbacks are more often than not something a rely on, but this one in particular was a big mistake.

3) If the manufacturer is reading this, I hope they take it positively, and that they reinvest a good part of their profit in R&D for a better product quality and durability - reputation is EVERYTHING. A set of tools like this should last WAY longer than just a couple uses.

For a student house where the DIY required is minimal, they're perfect to have around in an emergency or for odd use. The magnetic tips are handy for not losing the screws, the different sizes are useful, and I've not had any problems with the tips becoming deformed or bending.

Didn’t expect much for the morning I paid but was surprised at how good they are I only wanted something to top up my tool box and didn’t want to spend a lot but these are as good as expensive ones I’ve had in the past the handles have good grip on them and none of the tops have worn out with sometimes happens the tools in this piece range but these are really good so far would buy again no problem

They will only get light use as I'm very gentle with my guitars. I don't know how they would stand up to general engineering use.

I'm not sure what it is about these drivers but the Philips heads never seem to engage properly. I don't know if there is a really specific screw type which these are meant for but they aren't great for general purposes.
