But 6 is too big but had already worn them outside so couldn’t return. I have to wear 2 pairs of thicker socks in them, else they’re too big. So careful about buying a whole size bigger. I wish I’d bought half a size bigger - max.
They took a few miles to break in but now are very comfortable on 5-10 mile treks in all weathers and terrains.
Not waterproof but shower resistant, if they have gotten wet through they have not held water.
The grip is very good even on slippery surfaces.
They are much too heavy as well. It is probably more that I prefer more barefoot style. I had chosen these as I run with dogs so wanted something sturdy but find they are not particularly comfortable and cause some aching around heel.
Genuinely keep you super dry and are ridiculously comfy. They hold their grip on hikes and no rubbing around the ankle.
Always had Salomon hiking boots and I was the same size in these. Tried loads of other Salomon trail shoes before this (the ones with the 'quicklaces' etc) and these are the ones.
