At last a comfy shoe just what I have wanted.

I have awkward sizing feet, I am like a 5.5 but cos I have wide feet I some times have to get a 6.5 and or a 7.
I find it very difficult to buy shoes and to be comfy in them too especially my little toe.
I hate feeling my feet cramped up and I can't move my toes and being restricted.
I was told about bare foot shoes and another make which are really expensive a bit out of my budget and also as I am not sure if I would like them or they would be comfortable I didn't want to waste money so came across these ones.
I have done a lot of reading and a lot of watching YouTube videos and research on barefoot walking so thought why not.
Well I got mine yesterday and had them on round the house haha felt like I had ducks feet and today have been out for just over a two mile walk, well what can I say?
I noticed a difference in my walking straightaway my knee wanted to twist and my foot wanted to but I think it's cos of how I walk with normal shoes on I tend to wear one side of the heal down.
So I made myself very conscious of how I was walking then tried to walk heal toes like normal and the difference was unreal.
I will probably ache tomorrow as using muscles I haven't used before.
I am very impressed with them I did wear a sock with them and kept the insole in but I may take the insole out once I have gotten use to them.
You do also take smaller strides and it is ball of foot then toe down so hardly any pressure on your heal so then there is no impact on your knees either.
I will keep wearing them and then eventually get a barefoot winter boot or shoe.
If you want to go back to natural walking then I would recommend to buy these for your first barefoot shoe just in case you don't like it so you are not wasting an awful amount of money.

Not suitable for long walks!

Very disappointing! there's absolutely no support for the arch of my feet as well as very thin cushioning, it's basically a very wide rubber socks! I walked my dogs and did around 10,000 steps, by the end of the walk my feet hurt so much. Wouldn't recommend it.

I'm not an impulsive person, but I've just received these shoes about 10 minutes ago.

If you want to know what they're like to wear; imagine a velvet lined cloud on each foot, with two cherubs supporting you under each arm, to the point where you feel as though you're gliding around on ice.

I don't need to wear these another minute longer to know that I'll be buying another pair to replace these.
There's so much width for the toes, but they still fit perfectly.

Okay these are not the most attractive shoes I've ever bought, but I suppose I am buying them "off label".
I struggle with proprioception and have always preferred being barefoot, my OT recommended a much more expensive brand and having never worn barefoot shoes before, I thought I would try a cheaper version to see if I will get on with them.
Oh my goodness, it's like someone is hugging my feet! My toes can move and breathe, I can feel the floor through them and I've already had them on longer than any other shoe I've tried.
The real test will be wearing them for my working week, I will be back with an update but for now, I could literally cry with relief at how beautiful these feel!
Update: Absolutely amazing, definitely buying a few more pairs. Having struggled with pain for so long, it has dramatically reduced using these and they have really reduced the sensory difficulties I've been experiencing with wearing the wrong footwear. Magic.

Great barefoot shoe. Super cheap, very comfortable when worn with insole and even more barefoot feel without it. There is no reason to buy super expensive brand barefoot shoes when shoes like this exist. Strap design is very handy. One critique is that without the insole the shoe is quite wide at the instep for slimmer feet and you can only tighten the strap in one place, so foot moves around more than I'd like without insole. I'll probably just buy one with laces next time but it's not a huge issue at all.

Why did I not buy these sooner? I think perhaps it was the price that put me off £40 for an unknown brand. But a lightening deal changed my mind and in thought I’d try them. My feet are 25.6cm long, and I ordered 7.5 & 8. The 7.5 are delivered as European size 41 which fit perfect. I’m going to return the 8’s, that’s if my friend doesn’t want to buy them. They are so comfy, and perfect for Clubbercise. I’ve been looking for something with no cushioning, zero drop, and what fits like a sock. These are perfect. I normally do Clubbercise in yoga socks, but sometimes the little grip they do give, just isn’t there. These trainers have a really sturdy grip that is also bendable…..without losing the barefoot feel. Try them, you won’t be disappointed. The only gripe I have is the sizing guide, or lack of it. If this was updated, with internal shoe measurements, I’m sure plenty more people would buy them without having to potentially buy 2/3 pairs to try

Fantastic running shoe for those that want a near barefoot experience

Of all the barefoot shoes I've bought so far (mostly Vivo Barefoots) I believe this has the thinnest sole. I removed the extra padded sole and it has been perfect for me. I like a thin sole.

The shoes are really light. I was concerned that the main fabric of the shoes, which feels like an artificial spongy material, was not going to last. But I've now run about 120km in them and they're absolutely fine, and the shoe feels and looks almost new.

My only slight complaint is the shoelace. They're stretchy which means that every time I use the shoe I need to tighten them a bit as the stretchy things become less stretchy with time. I'll probably change them for normal laces at some point.

These shoes are light, reasonably priced, long-lasting, and a great barefoot experience, and have become my go-to running and sports shoes.

Sensibly priced minimalist shoes for running without the marketing hype / price tag

I've been running in similar style shoes now for around two years and find the fit and comfort great for me.
I like the wide toe box design to allow my feet to spread, I also like the removable inserts which I sometimes remove in the warmer months to get a more bare foot feel, in this way there's only a few mm of rubber under your foot so you can feel the surface (you soon learn to avoid stones that will hurt if you step on them!) but the feeling of them with no socks or shoe liner on a warm day is magic! They are like comfy slippers.

The brand names vary but you can see from the sole and upper design that many seem to be made in the same factories. I have found the fit varies even within the range by the same vendor, you will see the sole design varies with the upper and this seems to dictate the fit as well with some being wider / shorter.

I found these came up slightly small as I would always buy a UK 9 / Euro 43 but I found I needed the UK 9.5 / Euro 44 to get enough toe clearance. I ended up sending a few pairs back to get the right fit but it was worth persevering. I have in fact bought a second pair of the same now as spares to save time.

They will get wet in the rain (of course) the lower sole design and breathable fabric means you can expect some ingress if you hit a puddle, however I just remove the liner and let them dry naturally in a warm room, 24 hours later they are ready again.

A final thought: I have learnt through plenty of research that 'running form' is the key to minimising the impact on your body joints and not any magic pill of shoe design. Whatever you do just get out there and run :-)

I didn't want to spend £££ before knowing if barefoot training was for me. Now, I've got nothing to compare these to, but they feel great and I can definitely feel different muscles working. I've used them for walking and slow running and my feet and legs work harder. I've used them for "banded" workouts and they sort of 'force' you to work on your balance more. I'll be ordering more pairs. Don't be put off by the fact they don't come in a box. For the price I paid, they're worth it.

This is my second pair, I wore the first ones to death. You may wish to replace the insole if your feet are not already calloused, but these things have a nice wide toe and have really helped fix my feet and calves up after damaging them both badly in jiu-jitsu over the years.

If you've never tried barefoot / minimalist, these are a great starting point without having to shell out £120+ for the vivos.
