Satisfying Creature Feature

Kate runs a river tour in the Australian bush. With tourists from all over the world, and a few rowdy locals making the trip a little more eventful than usual, no one is prepared for the truly enormous crocodile that has made everything in and on the river, its prey.

As with all creature films of this sort, there’s a character who doesn’t give the tiniest you-know-what for any other character and takes a ludicrous risk that couldn’t hope to work out for himself, or anyone else. Where Rogue is better than other creature features is: the pay-off is swift, brutal, and involves a jump-scare so large, I choked on my coffee.

Great cast and a pretty terrific story, I really enjoyed this film.

Lake placid goes to Australia

On the whole a pretty good film. On a par with Lake Placid and other creature of the deep films. Decent acting and steady plot.

A few known actors, such as the chap from avatar. The rest (to my knowledge) unknown, but no less of a performance from them.

Worth a watch.

great but slow

for a animal attack movie it was really fun. i'll put it up there with jaws, lake placid and anaconda. the only issue i did have which prevented me from giving it 5 stars was it starts out too slow. too much build up and not enough killer croc screen time which is a shame because the CGI wasn't the worst ive seen and they put a lot of work and detail into the animatronic. could have done with being a bit more gory too as most kills were off screen.

other than that though i do recommend it, but only if you can watch it at a cheap price

Some favourable cast members in this movie.....I liked it.

good, good, good

I think this is a well paced thriller. They realised that too much , too soon leaves no room for the climax . The croc is more realistic than Jaws so is more scary especially as you hardly see it and , much of the time, uses the real thing .. The acting is suitably intense from a strong cast. The music is well crafted to keep the tension going. It works by playing on your imagination rather than with blood and guts in your face. The tension as it reaches the climax is superbly created.
The photography is equally good. And it is topped off with a cheeky tune.
Highly recommended.

You gotta love a killer croc!

It might seem a bit slow but i felt it was paced really well. Beauty scenery, characters weren't too extreme like you often find, and crazy killer croc twists!
