Like the shoes... took them on a trial walk of about a mile through an indoor mall today with favorable results. Did remove the gel sock liner and replace it with the orthotics I need to wear. Very light weight shoe but seems to offer what I want for daily wear. Appearance is pleasant, with a non-shiny finish. Had gotten tired of wearing white sneakers all the time, and these seem to be a fine alternative.

Defect in manufacturing... TWICE.

Ordered these shoes because "Good Brand @ Good Price", but after my original order had a defect and I returned it, the replacement pair also had a defect, so... I'll look for shoes elsewhere. Each pair had an insole that was defective. The first pair had a fold in the insole, along the outside of the foot, while the second pair had a roll in the insole at the toes, as if the insole was too long. If they can't insert the correct insole or spot a defect in one, what else are they goofing up on in these shoes that can't be found right away? They just seem poorly made with subpar materials.

I had put these on my personal wishlist last year, and decided to finally get them. I wish I had rechecked the reviews first, it might have saved me some trouble, as several submitted since adding these shoes to my wishlist seem to have had similar quality issues. Either Rockport's standards have fallen off, or these aren't really Rockports.

Toe area cracks and peels - not leather

After just one month, a few days past Amazon's return window, the shoes are cracking above the toe area where the shoe flexes. Both shoes are doing this. It appears the same issue other reviews have noted. Not a leather product, will not last.

Look & feel great, but no traction!

Shoes were a little tight at first, but eventually stretched out and now they fit great. My only complaint is that they have virtually no traction. I live in the Midwest and we deal with a lot of ice & snow, and these shoes are like ice skates! Other than that, they look great and are good quality.

My husband said he didn't need a new pair of shoes and suggested I return these. Then he tried them on and loved them. He said they are lightweight, have good support, and are very comfortable. Very pleased and got them at a great price for Rockports. Needless to say, that return was cancelled. :)
